Story
Harper is a 6 year old, 52 lb Poodle mix. Sweet Harper came to us after living primarily outside in rough conditions, and now she is now learning about all the luxuries of being in a loving, warm home! Harper absolutely loves being around people and is a true "velcro dog" who will follow you everywhere. Because of her past, she does get a little worried being left alone, so she would love to find a family who is home more often than not. She is doing so much better every day with gaining her confidence and becoming independent! Harper is a great blend of playful pup and cuddle bug. She loves to explore her yard and play with her doggie friends (gotta get those zoomies out!) and then she will come inside and sit right by you on the couch while you wind down for the evening. Harper is already 100% potty trained and crate trained and is learning how to walk on a leash. Because of her size and bursts of energy, she would do best in a home with older kids (who she won't easily knock down) or adults only. Harper will also need a home with a fenced in yard so she can safely play. Harper is ready to find her perfect forever and she promises to shower her new family in love! Will that be you? Harper is Heartworm Positive and is currently undergoing treatment - paid for by CrisisDogsNC. If adopted prior to the completion of her treatment, the rescue will continue to pay for her treatment. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!January 21, 2025, 2:15 pm
