Story
Rusty is a great dog but he is nervous of new experiences and situations. He is just seeing a lot of things for the first time in his life and he doesn't know what they are nor how to act around them. His new family is going to need to take it easy with him and teach him that the world is a little scary but mostly wonderful and full of exciting and fun things! Rusty will benefit from intentional training so working with a qualified, positive trainer will be a bonus. Rusty will also need someone willing to continue his house training. Peeing and pooping where you sleep, for three years, is a hard habit to break. Rusty is doing so well and only marks occasionally now but we expect he will back slide, just a little, when he moves to his forever home so you'll need to be understanding.

Well, not too much for him but too much for other dogs. But he is really just a softee who wants to run and play and be chased. Running, bouncing, barking, playing, snuggling, hugging, what could be better?

Story
Oh, Boomer, you are a love and a frustration all rolled into one beautiful package. Boomer was sold to a family with young children during Covid and that meant he had a lot of people home all the time and didn't get much of the socialization he should have received. He did get a lot of company at home though! Unfortunately the young boy in the family fell ill, they needed to move and were unable to bring Boomer with them. That's how he came into our care. We've been taking out time getting to know him because as much as he is a lovely boy, he has his struggles too.

Thank you for your interest in Comet. He is a wonderful dog who was dearly loved by his previous family. He was sweet and friendly and playful but he had some medical concerns and they weren't able to give him the care he needed. We were happy to bring him into our care.

Thank you for your interest in Maisie. Initially cautious, Maisie quickly warms up and transforms into a lovable companion who adores being close to her people. Born at a commercial breeder's farm and sold as a puppy during the COVID-19 shutdown, Maisie missed out on puppy school and socialization opportunities. She thrived in the countryside, but when her family moved to the city and had a baby, Maisie became overwhelmed and fearful. Strangers and unfamiliar dogs frightened her, and she struggled with the changes. Her family made the difficult decision to seek a new home for Maisie, and we couldn’t refuse our help.
