You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.(YOU MUST BE WITHIN A TWO HOUR DRIVE OF GRANTVILLE PA TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN ADOPTER.)Posted 5/5/2023 Bentley was from a puppy mill he is housetrained (here) but will need work on a leash.  PLEASE ONLY PEOPLE APPLY WILLING TO WORK WITH HIM!!!!  He doesn't mind his crate, he is good with dogs but thinks the smaller ones are toys so NO SMALL DOGS!!!!  He is fairly mellow and loves his toys although rips them apart.  He walks fairly well on a leash and is a sweet boy.  He is about 3 years old and is Lyme positive.  His adoption fee is $400.  All the dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm/Lyme tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. This sweet, handsome fella was roaming the city and county for a few months and no one could catch him. We were called in to help and within a few hours he was safe in our care thanks to a citizen helping man the traps. He is very sweet, friendly and loving but he definitely has a checkered past. He does not like to be left alone for too long and can get destructive. Like many dogs here in TN he was neglected to the point where he lost trust in humans. He has now learned that there are some really great humans and so he wants to be with you. He does like to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with another dog or 2 that are friendly and playful. He is also very young (we can only guess) so he needs an active family. He loves water, going for walks and is a great car rider. He does great with kids too. I think he would love a big, fun family to smother him with love and attention. He will need an adopter willing to work with his separation anxiety and help him get over that(there are lots of free resources). He is a Poodle, not sure if he is pure or a mix but he is going to require regular grooming. He is a high maintenance guy looking for the perfect home to meet his needs.
