Story
Meet Owen, your playful new best friend! A volunteer found him on the streets with no ID tag or microchip. He was taken to the vet for a checkup and then to a foster mom. We suspect he belonged to a family and got lost. Unfortunately, with no ID tag or microchip the owners couldn't be found. He got fixed, received all his vaccinations, and now he is a healthy doggy, ready to find his forever loving family. Owen is still in his puppy phase, which means he’s full of playful energy and curiosity. He might steal your socks or nibble your feet when he’s excited, but don’t worry —he’s not aggressive. He is just very playful and learning to resist those puppy temptations. With a little training and some time to mature, Owen is going to grow into an amazing companion. Owen gets along great with other dogs, but he would do best in a home without cats. He loves walking around town and is happiest when he ends up at an outdoor restaurant where he can nap and relax under the table. He doesn’t beg for food. He is great on leash, and goes potty outdoors. He goes on daily walks with a dog walker and a pack of dogs. Owen is active; therefore, a family with another active and friendly dog would be a huge plus as he likes company. He would love to join his future family on hiking or other outdoor activities. Owen deserves a forever loving family. Submit your application at www.drwb.org if you’re interested in meeting him..

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.  If you would like to try a Foster to Adopt trial, please fill out an Adoption Application.  If you are only interested in temporarily Fostering one of our rescues, please fill out a Foster Application.   Warning! These little siblings are THE cutest babies both physically and behaviorally. Meet the 'Ro' litter composed of 5 girls and 2 boy total. Rescued mid December off the busy highway that connects Tijuana to Ensenada. Their rescuer noticed a small little head off a sack of potato's laying on the road and thank their lucky guardian angels they noticed that as they pulled over, walked over and realized there were 7 little babies just tossed like trash. Sadly, its a common story in rescue and not the first or last time we encounter these scenarios but we are thankful this time none were harmed and all are now done with their quarantines and vetting which means they are READY for adoption. These pups are baja mutts. They range from largest to smallest in the 6-4 pounds (as of february they are in the 8-10 pound range) and as February approaching 4 months old which means they likely will grow up to be in the 15-25 pound range (prob 20lbs) The pups seem to be a terrier mix, some look more like a doxie and others like wire haired terriers. They have been fostered at casa de ARWOB since the first week of January and are such good little guests. They adore ALL dogs and cats. ALL are energetic, happy, loving and social with a beautiful personality who love humans, dog and cats. They are young babies so DO NOT inquire about them if you are not ready to puppy train ei house/potty train. They currently are crate trained and do great.Rohini - is the only one with a doxie body (shorter legs and stalky body)Rohita - is the smallest of the girls with more of a dainty body Rochan - is the sturdiest who looks like an adorable itty bitty mini lab vs doxie. She and Rohana are the tallest.Rohana - is the only wired haired who looks a little like a schnauzer mix. They are just the best and if anyone is able to adopt a pair of sisters they would be so happy! the second best would be a family who has other dogs at home big or small and of course last best matched would be a family who if they do not have dogs at home they are interested in keeping their dogs happy by socializing with other dogs. As of the first week of February the girls are sterilized and fully vaccinated. They will be making a debut at the MEGA adoption event coming up 2/15 and we hope you can make it! If not, feel free to submit an application online at ARWOB.org to schedule a meet and greet.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application. Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.  If you would like to try a Foster to Adopt trial, please fill out an Adoption Application.  If you are only interested in temporarily Fostering one of our rescues, please fill out a Foster Application.   Meet Pollita! This little cutie was rescued from the streets of baja, Ensenada Mexico. Poor little pup was so weak, sick and mangie when she was rescued. Now, she is strong, healthy and a beautiful young pup. Pollita is your typical terrier, very loving, social and playful. She adores her foster mom but it did take her a day when she first arrived to settle in and trust her. She is still a bit apprehensive when meeting strangers and can try to retract and move away when strangers approach to touch her. She needs someone who is gentle and understands dogs to take it easy and win her trust. After all she did have a rough start in life and survived by evading humans who wanted to hurt her. Pollita (nick name for little chicken) reminds us of 'Tigger' of winnie the pooh jumping on his pogo stick. When she is happy and excited for attention ei human entered the room or its time to be fed she will jump pretty high around you which is hillarious. Pollita is very dog friendly with all dogs, big and small. She is great with indoor cats, she will try to chase outdoor cats for the 'fun of it' she is after all under 10 pounds and can run FAST. As of late January she is fostered in Casa De ARWOB along with several foster dogs and cats. She is crate trained and doing great. She is pretty quiet for a small breed dog but she can bark when she is excited especially when a human enters the room after not seeing them for a while. She adores being a lap dog and being loved on. Being a young teen and a energetic terrier we would love for her to be adopted by someone interested in enrolling in dog training to make sure she is a well mannered adult when she grows up and she would love a home with other pets in the home, if adopted as the only pet in the home she would be happy if she is kept socialized around fellow dog friends as she needs that frienship to be happy. Pollita is READY for adoption and will be making a debut at the MEGA adoption event comming up on 2/15 we hope you can make it and meet her! ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Baron (called Bo-Bo by his foster family) is a handsome 8-year-old Schnauzer Mix that weighs 16lbs. He is a sweet, easy-going, and soulful guy with balanced playful/calm energy and an irresistible underbite! He is extremely smart, attentive, and eager to please – always checking in with his person to see if he is on the right track with things. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood, chasing squeaky stuffies (he doesn’t destroy them), and snuggling on the couch. Most of all, he is a “people-person” and prefers to stick close with his human. Bo-Bo has a dental scheduled (we are currently fundraising for this) so he will have healthy chompers. He can be a little apprehensive in new settings – new people, sudden movements and sounds can spook him so best to use a reassuring, gentle approach with him. For potty-time, Bo-Bo knows how to use the doggy door, but with another male dog in the house, can occasionally mark – this is usually temporary when adjusting to a new setting. He is good on a leash, calm and relaxed for car rides and behaves nicely during bath time. When it’s time to chill, Bo-Bo would love to cuddle up in bed next to you – UNDER the covers – and sleep all through the night. He is not a fan of being crated. He is a total sweetheart who would benefit from a daily routine, structure and LOVE. He can be somewhat picky with food (but he loves his Just Food for Dogs meals) and he takes treats gently. The best fit for Bo-Bo would be with a loving family/person who is home often and can spend time with him. He would do well with older children who are respectful and gentle – he currently lives with two 8-year-olds and is happy to snuggle with them on the couch or play a game of fetch. He would be good with a doggy pal but might actually prefer to be the only furry object of your affection. As a Schnauzer, he will require regular grooming. He's quite the little furry gentleman and will be a great addition to the family. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  February 9, 2025, 12:30 pm

Story
Please come to our adoption event to meet them: Saturday 05/28 from 4:30 pm to 6: pm at PetSmart in Clairemont, 4253 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 **Please read all the way to the bottom about our organization, and how to procced to adopt. Nachos is a wonderful mellow young male fur 4 leg boy with lots of love to give you!! he has this wonderful soft & wired hair that makes him look so cute!!😊making him a hypoallergenic or low shedding boy:) He is very playful; and gets along with all dogs. He plays so much with his buddy an Australian Shepherd named Lady. However, at the beginning he is a little shy - once he is comfortable he will be very playful. He is crate trained. He is a cuddle bug once he is comfortable. He has the ideal size as well - not too small neither too large:) As with all rescued fur kids; he is going to need training, love reinforcement; as you know they all come from a tough beginning on their lives and the art of adopting a rescued creature is to bring them to be the best they can be with love and patience. He hasn't been around cats since we rescued him; therefore, we do not know how he will be cats. Nachos will make a great family addition to any family:) He was found next to the death body of another dog; we assumed a sister - he was crying for her - and wasn't let her be there left alone - The hybrid is a people pleaser and will, therefore, respond well to training while enjoying the attention and the chance to make you happy that comes with it. This Schnauzer Terrier Mix is entirely compatible with children because they demonstrate both playfulness and patience. Moreover, these dogs are quite easy to socialize. Are you ready to give him a forever home? If so, Please text at 619-576-0747 as 1st type of contact or email veronica.aaofusa@gmail.com or visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html . If approved, the adoption coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment. No appointments will be made unless we have received an application; therefore, we can match you with the best fit for you. Follow us on Instagram @aaofus where you can see more pics. Please allow 48 hours to process applications and respond back to set up appointments. Unfortunately, responses back to those who do not qualify are not possible due to high volume of applications. Donation Adoption fee includes up-to-date yearly DHLPP vaccinations, spaying or neutering, deworming, flea medication, and a complementary health check up by a participating clinic near you. Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! Due to high volume of calls; NO PHONE calls are accepted at this time - therefore, please text us or email us.- A minute of conscious - Please read:) We ask you Please to be SERIOUS adopters; as there have been so many people that are not ready. We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers. Please take the time to put your shoes in the shoes of the volunteer and most of it to put your shoes on our rescued fur kids!! Please take a minute to tell yourself if you are ready to adopt and for this commitment. LIVE!! LOVE!! LAUGH!! ADOPT A RESCUED HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!
