Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jackson is from Texas. Jackson was born on the mean streets of Houston, but has received proper nutrition and age appropriate veterinary care now that he has been brought into rescue.   Jackson is a young, energetic pup who is full of personality.  He has been working diligently on his leash-training with his current Texan Foster, and they have found that he and does better on a harness for walks than a collar.  (We also recommend walking all dogs using a harness and not their collar for safety reasons)  Jackson is also working on potty training, but is no where near fully trained.  Consistency is key when potty training puppies.  They all work on the following schedule.. sleep, eat, play, poop and repeat!  taking your pup outside immediately upon waking up, bringing them back inside for breakfast, and then back outside again 20-30 minutes later to "do their business".  Making sure not to play with him while he's supposed to be going potty, as puppies have notoriously short attention spans.  Jackson is kennel trained and takes her meals, as well as any high value treats, there.    Jackson is a perfect little playful young puppy who is eager to join a family and continue growing! He is a funny guy who needs some guidance on puppy manners as he integrates into family life. He will be such a fun addition to any home     They arrive in Minnesota on 3/22/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am-12pm. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet MisterPeanut—or Louie , as we like to call him! Louie is a sweet, loving little dog who has been through some trauma but still has so much love to give. He adores being by his person, following me around the house with his tail wagging. Walks are one of his favorite things, and he’s always excited to see me when I come home, greeting me with plenty of happy tail wags. Louie loves cuddling up with me in the recliner and sleeping on the bed. Due to past trauma, he’s sensitive about his front legs and may yip if touched there. Despite this, he’s full of love and affection. The cutest thing about him? His fuzzy face and those soft, soulful eyes! MisterPeanut is from Texas.
