Story
Ymir is a very sweet boy who is 3 years old. He loves to cuddle especially at night and he loves to play and lounge in the sun during the day. While I can no longer keep Ymir due to health issues, I want Ymir to be in a home where he is loved. I will also include his automatic feeder that has been preset to help with his transition

Story
Teddy is the best coworking buddy! We picked him up from a shelter as a kitten this past December. We think he’s 8 months old. Teddy is quiet and curious. He likes laying around in the same room with people. He likes to think he’s an alpha predator and “hunt” things. He loves sitting on my desk while I’m working and snuggling.

Story
Lucy started life as a feral but has become an inside/outside pet. She is a young cat, has a lot of energy and loves having her neck and head rubbed. If you also want her to be an inside/outside cat, she will need to be contained inside the house for 2-3 weeks until she gets used to her new home and her new human family before being let outside. She needs another cat or a very active human to play with.

Story
Meet Kit Kat This beautiful orange tabby came to us after he was found lost and alone. Our volunteers and staff have been working extra hard with Kit Kat to help him overcome his shyness, and he has come out of his shell! We estimated his birthday as September 12, 2022, and he has been with us over a year! Kit Kat started out as a loveable furball, but life in the shelter has not agreed with him. He can often be seen up high, observing his friends at play. Or you might find him curled up with one of his buddies. We strongly believe that in a quiet home of his own, he will find his confidence again and you would be so rewarded! If you can offer a safe home to Kit Kat, please submit an application online at: charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org Once you submit it please email or call us so we can verify we have it. Our email is smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net. Phone: 706-865-4135 All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Our shelter is closed to the general public. However, for approved adopters we are making appointments to meet and adopt your fur baby. Location: 4823 Helen Hwy., Sautee, GA 30571, Phone: 706-865-4135 Email: smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net Our shelter in Sautee GA is located about 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen in northeast GA.

Story
Meet Maggie Mae Beautiful Maggie is a wonderful little kitty with bright, expressive green eyes and beautiful tiger stripes. She came in to us as a teenage mom with 3 adorable little kittens and has done her job well! All are so social and well adjusted. She is such a good mama and now her work is done and she’s waiting patiently to be discovered. Maggie is super friendly, super soft, and oh so cuddly. She will be so grateful for a home to call her own after a rough start in her young life. If you love the tigers (who doesn’t) and you’re looking for a petite companion who will never leave your side, please give Maggie a chance. You won’t be disappointed. If interested in Maggie Mae, please submit an application online at: charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org Once you submit it please email or call us so we can verify we have it.
