Story
Cleopatra “ cleo” was from a shelter, cleo was a attractive one month old kitten and she won my daughter’s heart. Eventually she grew to be a loving friendly people loving cat. I inherited her as both my grandsons are severely allergic to cats. I am trying ti find a home for this loving cat. Because her dander is causing a allergic reaction whenever they visit me.

Story
Good morning, afternoon or evening! My name is Colleen and I would like to make your acquaintance. I am a pretty 1 year old brown tabby girl who just finished raising a litter of 3 kittens, and while I loved my kittens dearly, I am now ready for some human companionship with a family of my own. My foster mom says I have a sweet and gentle nature. I am curious, and like to explore new things and places. When the exploration is over, I enjoy climbing to the top perch of my cat tree and looking at all of the critters outside the window. I love people, especially when they rub my face and neck. Then my purr motor really turns on! I even enjoy being picked up and held for pets. I guess that is a bit unusual for cats, but I am happy to receive all of the loving I can. My kittens are all eating on their own now and will be spayed/neutered and ready for adoption in a few weeks. I would be happy to share a new home with one of them, or find my own special family who is looking for a single cat to love. I will certainly return that love many times over. I am not a fan of other adult cats, so would be happiest being adopted individually or with one of my kittens. Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! Please email gotfriendlies@feralfixers.org or call (630) 881-7459 for more information

Story
Hey there, I’m Queenie, a striking long-haired tabby with hints of orange woven into my brown fur. Life hasn’t been all smooth sailing for me—I was left behind when my previous owner moved out—but thanks to a caring roommate and the folks at Cat Guardians, I’ve found love and care again. Despite my rough start, I’m full of love and affection for people. At just a year old, I’m all about playtime! Whether it's chasing feathers or batting around balls of paper, I’m always up for some fun. And after all the excitement, there’s nothing I love more than snuggling up beside you for a relaxing bath and a cozy nap. Are you ready to welcome a sweet girl like me into your life? Reach out to Cat Guardians, fill out an application, and let’s arrange a meeting. I can’t wait to meet my forever family!

Story
Hi! My original name was Alexander, but I have been called Frankie for many years now, and prefer to go by that name. I was adopt in 2017 as a kitten together with my brother, and we boys lived for 7 happy years together. Sadly, my brother passed last year and I am quite lonely. My mom works lots of long hours and is planning to move out of state soon, so I need to find a new home. I would like a quieter home with someone home most of the time to give me lots of attention. I love being with people. I might also enjoy meeting a new cat friend, if they are welcoming and like to play. My mom describes me as sweet, affectionate and playful. My favorite things to do are look out through the patio doors, jump and chase after my wand toys, and get brushed and petted. I just love being brushed and will stretch out and wiggle around for more. While I'm not a big fan of being picked up, I definitely enjoy curling up next to you on the sofa or in bed. I am very confident in my home environment and will happily greet the people who come to visit and often rub on them. I'm not a fan of leaving home or the carrier, however, so a visiting vet would be ideal for me. I currently weigh 13 lbs, which is just a little heavy for my long frame. So I was recently transitioned to a wet food only diet. I like the flaked or shredded canned food in gravy. The vet gave me a clean bill of health and I just had a dental cleaning as well. I prefer vertical scratching posts and high sided litter boxes. So what do you think? Would you like to come and meet me to see if we can be friends? Story
If eyes are the window to the soul, then Tommy's soul must be very deep and rich, with his captivating green eyes! That is statement of his history. Tommy was adopted as a kitten in 2017 and returned to us this year. His household had changed, new pets were added and it was no longer a good environment for Tommy. The change was very confusing and frightening for Tommy, especially after such a long time with his prior family. It took Tommy a month of one-on-one interaction with his foster mom to transform his fear response of hisses and growls into soft meows and build his trust to the point of seeking out positive interaction on this own. His foster mom rejoiced the day he left his safe space on his own and laid down next to her to enjoy some body rubs! She had clearly won his trust. Now Tommy’s first love is not treats, food or toys. He just loves to be loved. He is content to lay by his foster mom for as long as she will rub his body. There are still things that frighten him. He is beginning to get used to new people visiting him. Frightening things will still bring out hisses, but Tommy is very gentle. It is never more than a hiss. And once your hand touches him and you begin gently rubbing his face, he leans into the touch and becomes butter. Tommy will do best in a quiet and stable home with no other animals or children. His adopter must be an experienced cat person who is patient and very understanding. It is crucial to allow Tommy the time and space he requires to acclimate to his new environment. After working with Tommy, his foster mom is confident that in the right environment with the right person he will blossom as he has done with her. He is a special cat with lots of love to offer as a companion. Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair.
