Story
Lucie is 13 years old. She is a lap kitty - loves snuggles on the couch. She had been through abuse, and is a timid girl with new people. She’s the sweetest girl and has an adorable personality. She’s been showing jealousy towards her sister and we would prefer a home with no other competing pets. Even though she’s a senior, she loves to play and chasing a cat wand is her favorite. She is very sensitive, loving, playful and affectionate. She’s a perfect cat, aside from her jealousy. It’s heartbreaking to put her up for adoption but we want the best for Lucie and with how loving and sweet she is, she deserves the best life, and environment, possible. When adopted, she will also come with a large unopened bag of cat food, her favorite cat nip and cat wand.

Story
If eyes are the window to the soul, then Tommy's soul must be very deep and rich, with his captivating green eyes! While it will take time to get to know Tommy and connect with his soul, once you do, you will have the unbeatable reward of his devotion and love. Tommy's foster mom took that journey with him and has transformed him from a confused and frightened cat to a loving and faithful companion. Now Tommy’s first love is not treats, food or toys. He just loves to be loved. He is content to lay by his foster mom for as long as she will rub his body. He is expanding his trust now and beginning to get used to new people visiting him. There are still things that frighten him (loud noises, quick movements). Frightening things may bring out a hiss, but it is quickly accompanied by a very kitten like meow. Once his foster mom’s hand hand touches him, he melts. He goes into a Zen state as his foster mom rubs his face, and head and is no hurry to leave her side. Tommy will do best in a quiet and stable home with no cats or children. Tommy is afraid of the foster’s cat but will walk freely around her quiet dog. He is an extremely clean cat, his litter box habits are the cleanest his foster mom has seen. His adopter must be an experienced cat person who is patient and understanding. It is crucial to allow Tommy the time and space he requires to acclimate to his new environment and develop a trust in his new person. Once that trust is established and you have touched his soul, Tommy will be a very loving companion Adoption fee is a minimum $55 per senior cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! Please email gotfriendlies@feralfixers.org or call (630) 881-7459 for more information

Story
Special needs: Adopter with understanding of tortoiseshell cat personality and temperament. Lulu is a pretty, smart, curious adult tortoiseshell girl born around April of 2019. She has a loving, sweet side and is anxious to see her humans to interact and play with them. She will greet you at the door with leg rubs and purrs demanding to be petted. Once on your lap she is content to purr loudly and make biscuits with her toes. Lulu craves human interaction and is most happy when she is playing with you chasing the bouncy balls, catching the fish on the string, or trapping the red laser dot. On the flipside, even when it appears Lulu is happy and content in the moment, she can be unpredictable and swat at you for no particular reason. Torties are temperamental with big personalities and a possessive nature. They also are super-smart and fiercely loyal companions. We feel that Lulu would be happiest in a home where she is the only cat and can get all of your attention. Lulu needs an adopter who will be patient with her so that in time she will settle into routines and stability. A few nice windows where she can watch the world and entertain herself is a plus. Lulu is currently hanging out in one of our foster homes with other cats, dogs, and kids, and a few big windows for her to watch the world. Her foster mom says that she is doing great in this environment. If you would like to foster Lulu for A Heart for Animals while she is awaiting adoption, please contact us at www.aheartforanimals.org under Foster and complete an application If you are interested in adopting Lulu please fill out our online adoption application at www.aheartforanimals.org under Adopt The adoption fee for adults 1-7 years old is $200 and includes spay/neuter, rabies, FVRCP vaccination, deworming, flea/tick preventative, FIV/FeLV combo test and microchip.

Story
Cosmo is a handsome, sweet, playful grey striped tabby adult boy born around 4/4/22. He came into the rescue as part of Mama Stella's litter of five. Four of Cosmos's siblings have been adopted and he and mama Stella are hanging out together waiting for their forever homes. Cosmo is very fond of his mama and they enjoy hanging out, playing, grooming each other, and napping. Cosmo is good for his mama Stella's confidence, and it would help her if they got adopted together. But it's not required. Cosmo's foster mama says that he is a maniac when it comes to toys. He loves to play with everything! He would be a great cat for a home with children as they could entertain each other for hours! After playtime he loves pets and belly rubs and overall is such a great cat. If you are interested in adopting Cosmo, please fill out our online adoption application at www.aheartforanimals.org under Adopt. The adoption fee for adults 1-7 years old is $200 and includes rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, FIV/FeLV combo test, deworming, flea/tick preventative, microchip, and spay/neuter. The adoption fee for 2 adults adopted together at the same time is $350.
