Story
Toonces is a super sweet, sociable cat who loves to cuddle up. Toonces was born in Asheville and we adopted her from my daughter about about 13 years ago when she was a kitten. She handles crowds well and is very comfortable with adults and children. She is very gentle with kids and has a great disposition. Unfortunately, we are moving across country and can't bring Toonces with us. She is house trained and likes sleeping inside, but enjoys exploring the outdoors during the day. Toonces is truly an awesome cat!

Story
Linc was born to a stray mom on our street in NC. He is outdoor/indoor. He loves to be out. As he approaches 8 yrs (early May), he maintains a smaller territory and stays close to home. He is very street wise. He’s been living in an urban setting for 2 yrs and is very cautious of cars. He is sweet & social. He likes to go for a walk with us in the evening. We just noticed he’s not as happy in Canada in the colder climate than he is when we travel to North Carolina with him. But he’ll do anything to get out despite the temp. (Throw things off the top shelf😉) It’s as though he knows he’s home here in NC. He has lived with two dogs and doesn’t seem to fear dogs, unless they are aggressive with him. We thought one of our kids would take him when they moved out, but they are all in small apartments with roommates and unable to take him at this time. We really hope to find him an NC home by end of January. Thanks! 🙏🏻

Story
Mango was found in a box abandoned in a park. We had never had a cat before so we were not sure what to expect but we knew we could not leave him there. We could not have imagined finding such a sweet boy. He is so loving and playful yet gentle. He loves both adults & kids and even played with our family dogs. He loves to give and receive kisses and snuggles. He is the complete opposite of what I thought a cat was. I’m so incredibly sad we cannot keep him. My son is allergic to cats. We are looking for a loving home for Mango; Someone to give him the undivided time and attention he needs and deserves. I forgot to add, he’s a big baby. He loves to cuddle and be held. He has received his first round of vaccines and dewormer. He also has a litter box, cat tree and some cats toys that will/can be sent with him to his forever home.

Story
Spinky is 4 years old and he is a very sweet cat, he likes to be loved and fed. He even likes when I watch him eat. He is an outdoor cat as well as indoor. During the cold months we let him come in but during warmer months he sleeps outside. He also doesn't like litter too much that's why we let him go outside. He usually does not get along with other cats, he is very territorial with outside cats, I don't know with inside cats. Also he doesn't like big dogs that could scare him. He is OK with small dogs. I have a Daschaund and they get along pretty well. We are mainly rehoming him because we dog sit and it is always a challenge to keep Spinky away from the dogs. Also, my son is moving out of the country and we got the cat for him when he was a teenager because he really wanted one, He was adopted from a cat shelter.

Story
Woody is a very cute brown tabby that I adopted with his littermate brother about 9 years ago. He is strictly an indoor cat. Will not even try to run out if a door is opened. I adopted him and his littermate from a veterinary clinic in Morrisville in October 2015. He was about 6 months old. He has all his shots and an AVID Pre Registered Microchip. So they don’t need and never wear a collar. (Of course he is never outdoors.) He is a sweet, loving cat. He will jump up on a stool next to me when I’m having coffee and jump into my lap if I let him. When I’m on the couch watching TV he’ll get in my lap. Sadly, he’s up for adoption because he and his littermate fight too often. When I have them in different rooms behavior is completely different. This has led Woody “spraying” when they are together. That is how he marks his territory. He’s trying to keep his littermate away from him. Please note that Woody never sprays when he is alone. He’s a loving brown tabby.

Story
Garfield is a shy, introverted, boy. He LOVES to be pet but HATES to be pick up/held. He loves his treats, that'll be the main thing that he'll talk for, other than that, he's pretty quiet.
