Story
Kibosh Age: 2 years Breed: Tabby Gender: Neutered Male Meet Kibosh, the ginger feline with a personality as unique as his name. Originally a grouchy stray, he has undergone a slight transformation with the magic of treats. While Kibosh appreciates attention, he values his space and prefers to initiate contact on his own terms. He has a very independent spirit, creating a dynamic companion who knows what he wants. With a keen love for all things edible, he is very food motivated. Kibosh, however, is very easily over stimulated, and can be a little too “handsy” and “toothy” for some homes. Homes without kids are preferred, he would do great with a single owner who just wants companionship and a quiet independent cat :) Foster to adopt homes welcome You can find my form "Rescue Cat Adoption Application" at: https://form.jotform.com/211695648007258 Adoption fee is $350

Story
Bahama Mama Fostered in Newmarket, ON Breed: Domestic Short hair - Tabby (brown) Sex: female Age: 3 years Good with dogs? A little afraid because she was protecting her kittens Good with cats? Yes Good with kids? Yes very good Good with people? Yes Energy level? Very calm, very happy to get affection right away despite coming to us as a stray. Litter trained?yes Health concerns? No Behavioural concerns? None Spayed/Neutered? No - but will be as part of her adoption fee - when milk dries up! Vaccinated? Yes Bahama Mama came to us with little to no human interaction and was immediately ready for affection. She is very protective of her kittens when our dog is around but loves human companionship. She purrs immediately when you pet her. Any information on the history of the cat? Was found as a stray with 6 kittens. She would probably fit into any home but would be better suited to one without a dog. Story
DOB: October 14th, 2013 Holly is quite the character. She is very shy at first but then once she feels comfortable and secure, she has a strong, bold, determined personality and is not easily held back. She enjoys exploring and investigating the world around her, but then quietly goes back to her bed to reflect on her discoveries. An interesting trait is that instead of quiet little mews, she squawks ‘meh’ and makes little ducky noises as she walks from room to room. She has a loud purr you can easily hear. Holly is overweight and requires a weight control diet. She came into foster care at 28 lbs and has successfully lost 14 lbs on weight control food so continuing a weight control diet is vital. The weight loss has left Holly looking flabby around the middle. Despite being a bit flabby, Holly is a very active cat, and more agile than her bulky frame would suggest. She has been tightening her muscles with all the exercise she receives. She is amazingly quick going up and down stairs and runs fast in the hallway. She likes jumping up on chairs, makes herself comfortable on sofas and even takes over the computer chair, especially when her human intends to use it. You’ll end up sharing half a seat. Holly is very people oriented and just loves to hang around where her people are and be part of everything going on. She does not always like being picked up, but enjoys being patted - on her terms. She will let you know when she’s had enough. Holly enjoys interactive play with the feather wand and other toys, especially cat nip toys and of course, loves sitting in boxes!! She likes playing in the cat tree, and using cardboard scratchers which she shreds into so much confetti, with great satisfaction. She likes to jump up on the window sill to look at the birds and squirrels. Holly does not like other cats or dogs. She wants, and deserves, to be the center of attention so she should be the only pet. Holly is on a daily medication called Meloxicam. Holly should be on a weight control diet to continue her weight loss journey. The perfect home for Holly would be where she can be the center of attention, and be near to her people as much as possible. She craves being with her people. Her adopting family should be an affectionate, loving family, understanding Holly’s needs, with time to play and willingness to include her in day-to-day life. Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $200.

Story
DOB: June 27th, 2021 Though he is a little timid at first, Asiago loves humans and takes comfort in their presence. Provided with a calm introduction where he is able to make first contact, he warms up surprisingly quickly and cannot get enough attention. Though he doesn’t like being lifted up, he is easygoing when being petted and loves getting his belly rubbed. Unless he’s in a playful mood, he’ll never try to bite or scratch when being pet. If he ever does, it’s a gentle play bite and given a toy, he’ll focus on that while continuing cuddles. Usually he’ll start cleaning himself when being pet or brushed because he loves grooming together. Since his temperament is timid and slightly anxious, Asiago would be best suited to a quiet household without children and dogs. If paired with a similarly natured cat, I think he could do very well as he loves playing and mental stimulation. When he gets into his playful mode, Asiago is adorable and he especially loves interactive games where he can be with his human. Feathers are his favourite and he’ll carry his favourite toy bird around when asking to play. Other favourites include laser pointers, wand toys, treats and catnip. Like most cats, he can be a little stubborn and he may meow at you if he’s being ignored when he wants love but he soon learns when he won’t get attention. For example if you’re working. Generally he’s really quick to pick up routines and will adapt to suit you, knowing when his human is at their desk is the time he should nap alone. However, the perfect home would have plenty of time to play as he can get antsy when he doesn’t get enough exercise. Asiago has a love for blankets that rivals none other, receiving the loving nickname of “blanket boy” from his foster. The ideal home would have plenty of cosey spots with light blankets for him to curl up under. If left alone or his human is busy, you’ll usually find him by spotting a little lump but he might also burrow so deeply you might miss him, so be careful sitting down. Don’t worry if you can’t find him. Asiago never stays away too long and he is incredibly smart, responding to his name if called out a few times. Every few hours, he’ll check in for cuddles and request your company while he eats. What he’s asking for are pets as he eats because the answer is always pets. As an intelligent boy, he is vocal in a very communicative way. When he wants attention or cuddles, he makes the cutest loud purr. When he wants to play, he starts with chirping and meows a few times if ignored. If he’s hungry and his bowl is empty, it tends to be a much clearer instructional meow and he happily leads you to whichever solution he wants. The ideal home for Asiago would have at least one person home often because he loves people so much. Asiago is a bundle of love wrapped in a shy package and you’ll be amazed to see how his personality shines as you gain his trust. The person who adopts him will have their patience rewarded by an endless supply of love from one of the most affectionate cats ever.

Story
DOB: July 13th, 2021 Sunny is a reserved and quiet guy that is extra cute and adorable. He may start off a bit shy but with a little patience and play, Sunny will warm up quickly. Once he does, he’ll be wanting lots of chin scratches, they’re his fav. Sunny is curious and loves to chase his cat wands. One day he’ll catch that laser too! Just like most cats, he’s very much into wet food over dry food but will take what he can get. Sunny is looking for a wonderful home where he can shine. He’d love for it to be yours.
