Good with cats,
Story
He's been here since April and he really needs a home..everytime I open the outside apt door to go in he trys to follow me..this is why I believe he's been more an indoor cat (outside to do his business) He Showed up at my Apartment complex 1st of April..I had a McDonald's bag in my hand and he tried to introduce himself to it. He was skinny and obviously hungry..Once you gain his trust (obviously no idea of what happened to him before) he's friendly. I think he was an indoor/outdoor cat so would do well in that kind of home..He may fool me once he gets to know someone and turn into a total indoor cuddle bug. Right now he's food motivated and that may be the best way to get him acclimated to your home. Given time, love and patience Im sure he will become your loving cat.

Story
She's a sweet little girl who doesn't mind dogs. Loves head scratches and cuddles. She's about a year and a half old and we live her, but we've just moved and can't keep her. Would love to see her go to a good home where she can get the love and care that she deserves.

Story
Missy (grey tabby) was adopted as a kitten with Kali (tuxedo) from a family in Bellevue, Washington. Together they have brought a lot of love and joy to their owner, an older woman living alone in Oregon. Now that their person had died in hospice care, we are helping the family find a loving home for them as a bonded pair. They are 5 year old females. Missy is petite, just 7 pounds, and likes to play, and watch out the window. Both are indoor cats, and very affectionate once they get to know you. The family says of Missy, "Once she accepts you into her fold, she exhibits bursts of kitten- like energy and a deep well of purrs and head butts. As she's grown used to us, she's really come out of her shell, asking for attention and soaking up whatever we'll give her."

Story
Woozy came into my life in 2022. She is currently 4-5 years old we never knew her exact age. I adopted her from the humane society in Oregon. She had been adopted 3 times before me and given back because she did not get along well with other owners pets. They advised me that she should go to a home with no other pets, and at that time I was single living by myself. Two years later, now my partner and I have just moved into a place and he has a cat the same age, long story short they both do not do well around each other, I think it would be best for her to be in a single pet household. Woozy has been amazing cat and it’s hard for me to even do this because she really is the best cat. She will most likely be pretty shy at first to whoever chooses her, but if you have the time or patience she will be the bestest friend you could ever have. I will give you all of her favorite things so she will be sent home with everything you need. Please give my baby girl an amazing home for me ❤️

Story
The name Mikka means “who is like God?” Mikka, may or may not think she is God, but she does think that she is gorgeous classic Tabby. Don't you love her striking black and gray swirls. Mikka was born approximate 06/2022. She came to us wth kittens. This young mother was very protective of her kittens. Once she was spayed, she is much happier and not quite as sassy. Mikka does not tolerate dogs She does great with other cats, but would need a slow introduction. She does have a Tortiefoster sister, Georgia, who she loves napping with. Mikka does like to play. Mostly she like surveying her kingdom from the sofa. Mikka would make a great companion for you. I don't think she would be a good match for bouncy children. -$100 adoption fee. Mikka has been neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and tested negative for FIV and Felv. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application, https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information. We do not have a shelter. All our rescues are in foster homes. The $100 adoption fee per cat insures that all cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped, vaccinated for FVRCP (feline distemper), dewormed, and have been treated for fleas.

Story
We think Penn was born around 2017. This chill, handsome dude is Penn. He’s a chonky (ahem! muscular!) boy whose best friend is Sally. These bonded pals must be adopted together. Penn’s interests include catnip, vibing with his girl Sally, endless chin scritches, contemplating the meaning of life, and treats. If you’re looking for a low maintenance, easy companion, look no further. Penn is ready to fill that role. Full disclosure: Penn needs to lose a few pounds. He hopes his new family can help him achieve his health goal. Although they can’t go to a home with dogs, Penn and Sally do well with other cats and might enjoy gentle, respectful children. What are you waiting for? Ask to meet these sweethearts today. We were notified by a good Samaritan that Sally & Penn were left behind when their owners were evicted. Our hearts went out to these senior kitties. We did have these two fully vetted - they even had a full dental. They tested negative on their FIV/FELV tests. What do you say? Are you ready to welcome these loving cats into your home? Fill out that application today. As it states below, application required and we do deliver kitties to their new homes. We do everything we can do to find purrfect homes for our kitties. $100 adoption fee. Hardest part of rescue is: - Not being able to save every cat. - Finding excellent homes for our rescues.
