Story
Harry and Bella are affectionate and playful cats who thrive on constant companionship. They are inseparable and have always been together, especially around elderly people. Therefore, it's essential that they are adopted as a pair. Harry tends to get a bit jealous of his sister because he craves all the attention, which can lead to some aggression towards Bella. I usually separate them at night while I sleep to manage this. Bella might be timid initially, but she will gradually warm up to you. Both cats love being brushed twice a week, which is a surefire way to earn their affection. They have sensitive stomachs, so I feed them two teaspoons of mashed real tuna in the morning and evening, along with one and a half cups of rice and lamb cat food daily. I also refresh the water in their fountain every other day and clean their litter box daily. Unfortunately, I'm moving abroad and can't take my beloved pets with me.

Story
Tansey is a lap cat. She loves to sit near her person or on her person lap. She loves pets and pats especially chin rubs. She loves scratching posts and little fuzzy toys. She will spend hours looking out window and would love a cat bed near a window where she can nap in the sun. She is 8 years old and was born in Florida. She does not enjoy other animals and would do best in a home as the only pet. She also prefers adults and a calm space. She is a sweet girl who likes to chat with her funny meows.

Story
We saved Taz from an unsafe home when he was a kitten in 2019! He is so playful and loves to cuddle right before bed or if you’re wrapped in a cozy blanket. Taz is a very independent cat who enjoys his personal space, but is an EXCELLENT night time cuddler! He loves to sunbathe and enjoys sitting in a window. He is a vocal cat who enjoys morning conversations! He struggles with cutting his nails but does well in a car hammock with treats! We will include all his personal items along with food to help with his rehoming transition. (Self cleaning automatic litter box, automatic dry food and water dispenser, cat tree and toys) Taz would make an amazing addition to a small family looking for a low maintenance pet!

Story
🐾 Jack is Back and Ready for His Forever Home! 🐾 Hey there, I’m Jack—still just as cool, still full of fun, and still waiting for my perfect family! 😺 I was trapped with my two sisters before Halloween, and while they’ve both found their forever homes, I’m still searching for mine. I was adopted, but unfortunately, the older dog in my new home wasn’t a fan of my playful kitten antics. So, I’m back with Tips N ToeBeans, hoping to find a better match! Now 7 months old, I’m growing into a handsome, playful guy with a loud purr and plenty of love to give. I still enjoy all the kitten classics—eating, sleeping, playing, and zooming around—but I’m also learning that cuddles are pretty great too. I’m neutered, fully vetted, and up to date on all my shots—all I need now is a loving home! I’d love to have a feline friend to play with, or a human who will give me all the love and attention I deserve. Could that be you?

Story
Tiger is a very handsome tabby cat. He loves to talk or yell for his attention. He is a cautious love bug in his current household. He gets along great with other cats but has never been around dogs. I think he would be great in a home that is mostly quiet so that he can feel relaxed and let his lovey personality out more. He might take a little bit to adjust to new surroundings as he will be anxious learning a new space. My advice would be to sit on the floor near him and calmly talk to him, so he gets used to your voice. He might not be receptive right away, but I promise you he is such a loving and caring cat when he has your trust. You can see in the pictures how much he will love you and want cuddles once he learns you and is comfortable. I would recommend having him alone in your bedroom where he could unwind and be comfortable and then when it was bedtime he could chose to come out and eat/drink or hop on the bed for sleeping/getting to know you. Videos available of him.

Story
Kenna and Harbor are a bonded tuxedo sister pair. They were rescued as youngsters, then adopted, only to be returned to us by Animal Control when they were taken from their owner due to a hoarding situation. They did great when they were with the rescue previously; unfortunately, they both regressed and it has taken us months to get them to trust humans again. But now, although neither one likes being held, they are ready to find their forever home together! Kenna is definitely the protector of her sister. Kenna is a great model! Every time her foster mom tries to take photos of the other cats, it’s really difficult because Kenna LOVES to be the center of attention! Harbor has beautiful markings on her face! She loves to lay on the cat tree and watch what’s happening outside.  They both love playing with wands, watching cat TV, and sleeping in the cat tree. Currently, they’re eating Fancy Feast gravy lovers wet food and Purina One adult dry food. They get along with cats, dogs, and kids. Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
Hi, my name is Basil!  I’m a gorgeous, petite gray girl with a seriously playful inner kitten! I have been on a LONG road to find my happily ever after.  I came to Animal Control as a mama when I was around 2, and then I came to BTKR to get ready for adoption.  I was adopted, but then a few months ago, through no fault of my own, my family surrendered me.  When I came back to the rescue, I was really scared, and they aren’t quite sure what might have happened to me, but they know for sure that I will need a really calm, quiet home with adults only, who will be patient with me and give me time to feel safe and comfortable. Once I feel safe, you will see a WHOLE other side of me—I turn into a lovin, playin machine!  I LOVE pets, and I will come up behind you and gently bonk your head with mine to let you know I’m there and waiting for pets.  I’m not a fan of being picked up, but I like to be near you, and I’m very affectionate.  I’m very chatty and like to discuss all the events of the day with you. I really love to play!  I don’t think I had a chance to really be a kitten before I became a mama myself.  I really want a family who will play with me a lot and help me make up for lost time.  I adore wand toys with feathers—I will hear them from anywhere and come running!  I also love tall cat trees, as having a high up place to perch helps me to feel secure.   I’m a big fan of cozy cave beds, especially on cold days.  And I LOVE a good window view to watch the goings on of the world!   I have a good appetite, and I really enjoy wet food a lot.  If there are other cats in the home, I prefer to have my own eating space; I’m not sure why, but I get a little bit nervous about sharing my food, and sometimes I will run off if other cats are near my food.  I do like other cats, but not if they are very dominant or overly pushy with me.  I can get intimidated easily, so I’ll need a home where any other cats are very calm and gentle.   I do sometimes get a runny eye if I’m under the weather or stressed; it turns out that I have a really minor virus, the herpes virus, that pretty much all cats are exposed to in our lives.  Most kitties never show symptoms, but some of us have occasional flares with it.  It’s not contagious to humans, so don’t worry!  Mine turns up in that darn runny eye. With some lysine supplement in my food, cleaning my eye, and occasionally antibiotics, it clears up.  It tends to flare if I’m under stress, so I’m guessing once I’m settled into a new home and routine it won’t be a huge issue.   I’m really hoping to find my happily ever after…I’ve waited such a long time!  Could you be the fairy tale beginning of my new life?     Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯
