Hi, I'm Khaos! I'm an Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy with a zest for life! My days are filled with boundless energy, chasing my tail, and making everyone around me giggle. I can be a wild child, always ready for the next adventure. But, I'm also a sweetheart, my affectionate nature is contagious. I love to give kisses and snuggle up close. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and playfulness. If you're ready for a life filled with joy, laughter, and unconditional love, then I'm your girl. Adopt me and let's create beautiful memories together. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Chet is a handsome tricolor purebred australian shepherd.  His birthday is 10/31/23.  He has lived most of his short life in a backyard pen with a couple of other pups.    His current foster has not had him long but he is very sweet, shy at first and a little hesitant in new environments  He is catching on quickly to new situations and has learned what stairs are, how to go into a crate for his treats and how to sit.  He appears to be housebroken for the most part, however his foster home has a doggie door situation.  He is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers to look and be by his foster mom.  He will need some training as everything is new to him but he is very treat-motivated so should be able to catch on quickly.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Meet Lily a 40 pound Husky mix.  Lily is a sweet girl but can be a little shy but warms up quickly.  She loves everyone once she gets to know them.  Lily is your typical Husky and like to talk to you.  Lily also loves her toys. Lily grew up living outside so she is learning her house manners and is very happy to be living life as an inside dog. Lily is NOT good with cats so she would need a home without cats.
