Story
Zoey! This beautiful girl has been with HMR for nearly 2 years. She is a wonderful dog but she just hasn’t found her home yet. Around 4 yrs old and 50 lbs we think a cattle dog or Aussie mix. She is housebroken and great in a crate she also loves to ride in the car and has even slept in a hotel. Has basic obedience work and an excellent recall when off leash. She is social with all humans and in a large group setting with other dogs is prefect. However, one on one with another dog she can be bossy. We do feel she can learn to live with another dog as a successful pair but will need an adopter willing to put in some time to work it out. With the Warrenton foster she hangs with dogs from 8lbs to 130 and has no issue with anyone at all. She is good around livestock as well. Has cat tested fine but never lived with a cat before. She is incredibly smart and is always thinking. An adopter who wants a dog to be their partner in life would be perfect for her. She will climb fences so an ideal home would involve leash walks and she could even work for an apartment setting. If you are in the Warrenton VA area and would like to meet Zoey you can find an application on hailmaryrescue.com or come to the Warrenton Farmers Market in Old Town on Saturday June 1st.
