Want to meet ME?* Come to our adoption event this weekend: Sunday, March 9th from 11:30-1:30 Dulles Landing Petsmart, 24570 Dulles Landing Dr. #140, Dulles, VA 20166 Only Canines & Kitties Rescue pre-approved adopters will be able to bring a dog/puppy/cat/kitten home from the adoption event. Please apply a few days (or more) ahead of the event to allow time for processing. We hope to see you on Sunday!!! *Dog/Cat attendance is not guaranteed. Feel free to text the event coordinator to confirm a specific dog/cat's attendance: 703-447-4766 IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Skipper - Skipper is 15 weeks old. We think this litter looks like Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mixes (JUST A GUESS). Skipper is the most adventurous and fearless of the group! The mom, Bonnie, is super sweet and has been a great mom. The puppies are all playful and loving and enjoy cuddling with their foster mom and dad. They have been in foster care since birth and enjoy getting lots of attention. The puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy is $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Emma - Emma is about 1 year old and 43 lbs. We think Emma looks like an Aussie Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. Emma is super playful and energetic. Emma loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. Emma enjoys walks and is doing well on leash. Emma is still a bit "mouthy" due to her age and her foster mom is working on this. If there are children in Emma's forever home they should be 7 years and up. Emma's would do best with an adopter who knows the "working breed" characteristics. Emma has also passed her cat test. Emma will need an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day. Emma is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $400.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. She lived with young kids in her previous foster home, and has been introduced to kids as young as 3 years old and did great. Story
Lacey is an incredibly sweet dog and was a wonderful mom to her puppies. Here is what her foster tells us about her: 'She's doing wonderful. Gets along great with my kids (2.5 & 4.5) and 2 dogs. Not sure about cats as we don't have any, but she doesn't pay any mind to the community cats on walks. She's still scared of basically everything, but she just needs to trust you first. She follows me around the house and loves to be the center of attention- once she feels safe. She is potty trained with only 1 accident the first night and it was on a pee pad! She is crate trained at night time, but really likes dog beds and soft things to lay on so we let her sleep out of the crate last night and she did just fine! I don't think she cares for the crate but she will go in it nicely. She's doing really really well!!' We would love a home with a secure fenced yard for Lacey and ideally another playful or confident dog to help show her the ropes. If you are interested in Lacey please let us know.
