Story
**Fostered in Seattle, Washington and available for meet and greets and adoption** Cosmo Martini Shaken Not Stirred is the life of the party and the ultimate adventure buddy! Believed to be a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, this 4-month-old bundle of energy is thriving in his foster home. Nearly fully potty trained and crate trained (he can hang out for almost four hours with no issues), Cosmo is smart, wiggly, and full of "boing-boing" energy, as his foster mom puts it. He sleeps through the night in his crate without accidents and already knows how to sit. Cosmo has even gone to work with his foster mom, where he was an excellent supervisor—completely unfazed by forklifts and happy to take it all in stride. This little guy loves to sniff and explore outside, play tug, and collect all his toys in one giant pile like a true toy connoisseur. He’s already been to a farmers market, where he was a total social butterfly, especially with kids! Currently weighing around 15 pounds (or, as his foster mom says, "a heavy medium-sized grocery bag"), he’s been fostered in a busy household and does great with dogs. He’s also young enough to learn to live with cats. Cosmo is independent when needed—he can keep himself entertained in his crate with a toy or take a nap when the excitement dies down. He will thrive with an adopter committed to his continued training and socialization, and in return, he’ll be the best little sidekick for any and all adventures. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8-week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7-year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Now fostered in Hillsboro, Oregon! Glenda the good- the good girl! This sweet girl leads with her heart, she adores people and you can see it the moment you meet her. If you are seeking a fun, easy-going dog, who loves people, and other dogs…look no further. Glenda’s entire being exudes love and charm; warm and adoring. You can see it here - https://youtu.be/QikLSrW9iUc One of my favorite things about Glenda is how loyal and adoring she is, she is the kind of company that feels familiar from that start. Her looks and personality lead us to believe she is a shepherd/collie/husky mix and we estimate her to be 3 years old. Breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty on given the nature of rescue but some of her ease surely comes from being past the puppy/pre-teen years. Glenda absolutely adores kids and loves to cuddle with them, play with them, and is easy enough on leash that they can even walk her. She is currently fostered with a 5 year old, and 15 year old kids and does great with both. She is also fostered with 4 other dogs of different temperaments and energy levels, and she instinctively knows how to interact with all of them. She is the kind of dog that would enjoy a trip to the dog park, or doggy daycare. She really thrives both on human and canine companionship. Glenda would be best suited for a house with a yard to run and play freely, and a canine friend to play with. She would love regular walks or hikes, as well as enrichment activities. She has great basic leash skills, walking with an easy pace and passing dogs calmly, she will need a little guidance building her confidence in busier environments if that will be a regular part of your life together. A loving home with a pretty regular routine would be where she would thrive. Glenda’s affectionate and easy-going personality make her a joy to be around.. Whether she’s lounging with her people or playing with a canine friend, Glenda is ready to slip right into your routine and will only add to the warmth and safety of a loving home. Ready to apply? https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/675086e53d362c0ba005efe8 We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet River (or Kai), an 8-year-old, 65 lb bundle of joy who’s ready to find his next adventure buddy! Whether it's hiking in the great outdoors or simply curling up by your side for some relaxation, River is always up for whatever you have in mind. He’s in perfect health—microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and neutered—making him a great addition to any home. Although River enjoys spending time with people and is a fantastic travel buddy, he prefers being the only pet in the house. He’s not a fan of other dogs or cats, but his big heart and loyal nature make him the perfect companion for an adult-only home or a family with kids over 10. River is gentle with children, though he may sometimes get a bit territorial when it comes to his humans. A lover of fetch and good times with his best friends, River is the kind of dog who’s always ready to play and show his love. His loyal, dependable nature means you’ll always have a friend by your side who truly loves you. If you’re interested in meeting this lovable, adventurous guy, head over to the Alternative Humane Society website to fill out a statement of interest.
