Story
Meet Willie, an adorable, playful pup with a curious spirit and a love for adventure! This sweet boy enjoys exploring the yard, sniffing everything in sight, and chasing his favorite toys. He’s affectionate with both people and other dogs, though he’s still a bit too small to keep up with the big ones just yet. Willie is making great progress with potty training—he does well when taken outside and also uses puppy pads. At night, he sleeps peacefully with his brother in a separate room. He’s also mastered the art of climbing onto beds and couches, always looking for the perfect cozy spot to rest after a fun day. If you’re looking for a smart, active, and loving companion, Willie might just be the perfect match for you! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Meet James, a gentle and affectionate little pup with a playful spirit! Story
Zinnia is a bright, playful puppy with a big personality! She’s incredibly smart and full of energy, making her a perfect match for an active adopter. She’s medium to high energy but settles well and mostly sleeps through the night. Zinnia is already learning good potty habits and reliably uses her puppy pads. She absolutely loves food and treats, which makes training a breeze! However, she isn’t a fan of being alone and strongly dislikes crates or playpens, so she’ll thrive in a home where she can be part of the action. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate pup who will keep you entertained and shower you with love, Zinnia might be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Beverly, a laid-back yet delightfully mischievous little pup! While she may seem super chill, she’s always curious and has a sneaky streak—just enough to keep you on your toes. But don’t worry, she makes up for it with plenty of cuddles! Beverly’s favorite spot is anywhere cozy, especially if it means curling up on a lap. She enjoys a quick outdoor adventure to stretch her legs, but after that, she’s all about the snooze fest. She’s making great progress with both potty and crate training and continues to improve each day. If you’re looking for a cuddly, easygoing companion with just the right amount of playful charm, Beverly is the perfect pup for you! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Look at this happy boy. Banjo is a character. He is very friendly, likes being out in the play yard, and loves getting attention from our volunteers. It appears Banjo has not had access to food all the time.  He can be food aggressive with other dogs.  He has not shown any aggression to humans.  He is good with small dogs, but can be pushy with large dogs.   This is Banjo's second time with us.  The first time we fully vetted him after he was found on the streets.  We attempted to find his owners for almost two months.  When we put him up for adoption, they came forward.  We released him only to get a call from ACS a year later indicating he was on the streets again.  They held him until his hold time was up and we were given ownership.   We did talk to the previous owners.  They were homeless and had been jailed for trespassing.  They still did not have a stable home and we would not release the dog again.  It was not a safe life for Banjo.    Banjo was born around 08/23/2022 and weighs 21.6 pounds.  His adoption fee is $400 , If you are interested in him, please go to our website www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
