Story
Meet Freddie! Freddie and his siblings were born in our care to mom Isabelle. She arrived with us very pregnant and was found on an abandoned property with several other dogs. We think that the dad of these pups was most likely a boy named Stuart, who lived on the same property. Isabelle is a mix of poodle and a fluffy breed like Shih Tzu and Stuart look like a Jack Russel mixed with a smooth coated breed. In short, these puppies are true mystery mutts but they are the most adorable pups ever.  Mom Isabelle had a smooth birth and has been a wonderful mom to her pups. The puppies have been growing healthy and strong. They eat well, sleep well, play well and are all around great little pups. They are being handled appropriately and are well socialized with visitors. They are just under 6 weeks of age (on March 19) and are ready for meet and greets with potential families. They will be able to leave mom around 8 weeks of age. At that time they will have had their first puppy vaccinations and will be chipped.  For litters of puppies, our preferred process is to arrange meet and greets in the order that applications are received.  So, the first applicant will meet all the puppies first and has first pick of the litter. The second applicant has second pick of the litter etc. (We do it this way because if someone applies for Bear but ends up liking Hazel more, the process gets very messy.) You can submit an application for one of Isabelle's pups via our website savinggreatanimals.org and then we will reach out to you to arrange a meet and greet.  The adoption fee for each pup is $595. This also covers their spay/neuter when they are old enough (we prefer to spay and neuter between 8-12 months of age).  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Willie, an adorable, playful pup with a curious spirit and a love for adventure! This sweet boy enjoys exploring the yard, sniffing everything in sight, and chasing his favorite toys. He’s affectionate with both people and other dogs, though he’s still a bit too small to keep up with the big ones just yet. Willie is making great progress with potty training—he does well when taken outside and also uses puppy pads. At night, he sleeps peacefully with his brother in a separate room. He’s also mastered the art of climbing onto beds and couches, always looking for the perfect cozy spot to rest after a fun day. If you’re looking for a smart, active, and loving companion, Willie might just be the perfect match for you! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Meet James, a gentle and affectionate little pup with a playful spirit! This sweet boy loves to cuddle and is always up for a good wrestling match with his brother—despite being the smaller one, he usually comes out on top! He’s making progress with potty training—he does well when taken outside but still has occasional accidents and uses puppy pads. At night, he sleeps peacefully in a separate room with his brother. Story
Zinnia is a bright, playful puppy with a big personality! She’s incredibly smart and full of energy, making her a perfect match for an active adopter. She’s medium to high energy but settles well and mostly sleeps through the night. Zinnia is already learning good potty habits and reliably uses her puppy pads. She absolutely loves food and treats, which makes training a breeze! However, she isn’t a fan of being alone and strongly dislikes crates or playpens, so she’ll thrive in a home where she can be part of the action. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate pup who will keep you entertained and shower you with love, Zinnia might be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Beverly, a laid-back yet delightfully mischievous little pup! While she may seem super chill, she’s always curious and has a sneaky streak—just enough to keep you on your toes. But don’t worry, she makes up for it with plenty of cuddles! Beverly’s favorite spot is anywhere cozy, especially if it means curling up on a lap. She enjoys a quick outdoor adventure to stretch her legs, but after that, she’s all about the snooze fest. She’s making great progress with both potty and crate training and continues to improve each day. If you’re looking for a cuddly, easygoing companion with just the right amount of playful charm, Beverly is the perfect pup for you! ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue.
