You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- HARRY IS LISTED AS A COURTESY TO ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.ASK NOT WHAT THIS HOUND CAN DO FOR YOU,BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THIS HOUND.Harry Neil is a 10 year old walker hound who recently came to us when he no longer wanted to hunt. Having lived life on a chain, Harry Neil is now enjoying romping in a fenced yard, interacting with other dogs in his foster home and soaking up all the attention. Harry is kind and quiet and surpisingly petite! The mass on his face is a damaged salivary gland. Nothing can be done for it but it does not hurt or bother him. Henry is looking for a compassionate family who understands that he missed out on a lot of things while pursing a career in hunting. He will need extra support with house training and basic manners. Henry Neil deserves a comfy home with a wonderful family to enjoy the rest of his life! He'll pay you in kindness and gratitude.(We do not recommend hunting hounds for homes with cats.)A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Harry Neil, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Story
Soft, gently, timid yet outgoing at times, that's my best description. I'm Goji, a little girl, sister to Reacher and Roscoe, 1/2 sister to the Puggles mix on our site. Guess our dad was a "Man of the World!" Turned in due to not being wanted, we all found shelter at Molly's Place! Since arriving, we've received love, care and a warm bed together.  I'm a petite Beagle/Terrier mix about 5-6 months old, who should max out at 15 # or so. Loving to be a follower, I'll tag along with you wherever you go, so no fence required... I do so want to be held, loved and feel safe with my new person. Romping with my bros is great, but if you note my soulful eyes, I am a true lover, not a fighter!  Black short silky fur highlighted by my tan accent markings, photos do NOT DO ME JUSTICE of my true beauty inside and out! To meet me is to love me I'm told.  Spring is coming and I'm ready and willing to help you get into shape, relax on the couch or take in movie. I'm Goji, a little gal with a big heart who is ready to share the world with you!  No fence required To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Story
I'm Sugar. Living up to my name, I'm a sweet as my name implies. I'm a 6 year old Beagle girl that spend my life as a breeder dog having puppies.  When I first came to Molly's I was so scared of everything, especially people. The only thing I really liked was other dogs. BUT, I've come a LOONG Way since those days and am now a little cuddle bug with my peeps. I'm still a little shy, but warm up quickly once my trust is earned. I like dogs and cats and kids are Ok, but I prefer older ones that aren't as loud and scary and who don't jump around so much.  Since coming here I've had "3" surgeries. First 2 were to be spayed and have an inguinal hernia repaired. Unfortunately, I had to have a 3rd surgery to repair the inguinal hernia surgery again. BUT, this time it healed perfectly, so now I'm finally ready for a home.  I am crate trained and good on leash. but a fenced in yard is preferred for me. I like to stroll around outdoors and soak up some sunshine, but my favorite spot is my cozy beddy or snuggled next to a lap.  So if you're looking for a calm, quiet pooch to call your own, then I'm your girl.  For more about me, email Mollysplacepets@aol.com  P.S. Donations are always welcome to help furkids like me.  To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org.
