Miniature for the breed at 40 pounds, Brittany has lots of teenage energy and would do best in a home with a large fenced-in yard. Likely a hunting dog abandoned for, well, not hunting, she’s a happy, loving soul, bashful at first, but quick to connect with her special people. Through the efforts of her trainer and foster parents, Brittany walks well on the leash, even over long distances, and can be trusted not to have accidents in the house if taken out regularly. She has quickly gained confidence with the sights and sounds of suburban life and recently had a fun first visit to the beach. Most of all, Brittany adores affection—she has the unique ability to grip onto you lovingly with her front paws and lean in for minutes while you rub her velvety soft, short coat. Brittany would be fine as either a solo dog or with another young dog of a similar playful spirit and size. This is a unique opportunity to own an uncommon breed with lots of personality. Rochelle weighs just 36 pounds.Rochelle was brought to a NC kill shelter after she was found at a Home Depot store. Nobody ever came to take Rochelle home and she was up for euthanasia due to space. Thankfully, we were able to save her and she is now looking for a loving home.Rochelle greets everyone with tail wags and a big ole smile. She has good leash manners and is very easy to walk. In typical hound dog fashion, she loves to explore and let her nose take the lead, checking out who has been there before her and what they were doing. She is a wonderful model and doesn't mind posing for the camera as you can see!Not only does this darling girl have good manners but she has a super sweet and loving personality too! Miss Rochelle is the complete package. She is friendly, happy, loving, and wants to please. If you don't already know, hounds make wonderful family pets. Goldie is a sweetheart. She is a rescue around three years old. She likes to follow her people everywhere and is very snuggly! She is a perfect medium size at 36 lbs and enjoys car rides, gravy bones, and walks fairly well on a leash. She loves to be the center of attention and anxiously greets visitors (she is jumpy, and working on training her not to jump up). The reason we cannot keep her is that our infant son is allergic to her coat, and she and our dog of four years plus, simply co exist. They are not buddies as we had hoped, though they do not fight. Goldie is somewhat possessive over her bones and Kong’s, and for this reason, we feel she would do best in a home with older children or none at all.
