WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Nola is pure joy! She’s a bit timid in new situations, but is learning very quickly how great life is in a home. Found as a stray at a rural shelter, you can tell she hasn’t had an easy life. We have no idea how many litters of puppies this poor girl has had. She amazes us with her gentle temperament and desire to be loved. We are enjoying watching her gain confidence and find her hound voice. She is a perfect size around 40 lbs. Nola is house and crate trained, and lets her foster mom know each day just how grateful she is to have this new start to life. **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes. Please understand that we are an all volunteer group and we have jobs outside of this organization.  We do our best to provide quick responses but occasionally they are a little slower.  If you do not receive a response in 48 hours, please resend to make sure it's received. ##2301699##

Certain noises can be scary for her but this beauty is coming out of her shell and enjoying the new start leading to her forever home. Story
Best Working Pup! Reese is an hound mix pup (December 2023 birthday) who was adopted from the animal shelter. He is very smart and is house trained and crate trained. He loves all people and other dogs and is very social. He loves to play play play! His favorite games are tug and fetch, and he loves to be chased around the yard! He is pretty independent outside of wanting a few good belly rubs. Why would we want to rehome such a good dog? Due to our schedules, he does not get enough exercise and we want to find him a home with other dogs. We are unable to adopt other pups and Reese loves being part of a pack and to have lots of space to roam and play. We think he would do best with a big yard or farm that where he can run and play. He is so fun and friendly and deserves to have owners who have time to run with him, work him, and play with him! He is up to date on all vaccines and heart worm/flea medicine. He is the sweet playful hound for you!

Story
Meet our adoptable dog, Boomer! Boomer is a 3 year old Foxhound/Tree Walker Coonhound. He is about 57lbs. Sweet Boomer has never know what it’s like to get to be a regular dog, he was used strictly as a hunting dog and when not on a hunt he lived his life in a cage. Since being in the rescue he has started learning how to be a loving pet! He’s learning how to play and show affection for people and has just been a good boy all around. What his fosters say about him: He loves cuddling on the couch and going for walks. He does good with most dogs, just needs a calm introduction. He’s okay with cats but would NOT recommend a home with them. He loves tug of war, he also likes to play ball but is a little confused about the concept of it. In big settings he can be a little nervous. He is a very sweet boy who needs someone who is willing to be patient and help him learn the ropes of being a loving pet. Boomer is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. Please consider giving this sweet boy his forever home!

Story
Ipkiss is a 7 month old Beagle German Shepard Mix. He was born on a farm near Ridgeville, SC. He is an energetic puppy but also loves to cuddle. He definitely loves to eat and play with other dogs. Ipkiss was given to my sister-in-law, however, she has decided she is not ready for the responsibility it takes to care for a puppy. She is ready to take him to a shelter, but I would like to get him into a good home instead of leaving his well being of life to chance. I am taking care of him until I can find him a good home, but I am currently in the military and gone all day so I’d like to find him a good and loving home as soon as possible. He was given most of his shots on the farm, however, I do have record of his Parvo and Rabies shots (including Rabies Tag). Also, the neutering is up to the adopter. It is not mandatory if you would like for him to not be neutered. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Story
She is the sweetest little 5.5yo doggie girl. Willow gets excitement tinkles(hence the pretty skirt indoors)however she is potty trained. Like most beagles she gets "stink ear" when we rescued her, she had an ear infection so severe it caused permanent scarring in one ear. She is good with other dogs, We think she would do really well with some company. She has been. Around our 2 year old god daughter, and has has never nipped or bit. She is not fond of her either. She runs to her kennel. She is kennel trained, and loves to be outside walking, lounging in the sun and sun bath. She loves cuddles and she is not a barker. She treat motivated and loves pup cups. She has winter clothes, blankets, kennel and other accessories that will follow her. We're trying to find someone that will love her as much as she loves her human and find that Furever Home.
