Welcome Tommy to CCPAL Rescue. Tommy is a 1-year-old Cairn Terrier mix with maybe Schnauzer. He is very low energy and a little shy. His teeth are really white and clean as his adult teeth are just now coming in. He is the ultimate lap dog and weighs about 10 pounds. He is very content being held and is shy but bonds deeply. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. The homeless person had rescued all as strays. A good Samaritan stepped up to help and called CCPAL Rescue. CCPAL took in all the homeless person’s dogs except one she wanted to keep. We will be vaccinating them and spaying them to get them ready for their forever home. This boy is not a shedding dog and is very very affectionate. He would be fine around kids but I think her best home would be with a home that someone wants a lap dog and a quieter home. He would be a great one person dog. He will be great company and will not require too much exercise. A small condo type yard would work for him. He is good in a crate and with other dogs. He is more vocal than his sister Merry. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transportation fee is $200. He has nice long legs so he would be a great walking companion. He is very content being beside someone and doesn’t have to be in your lap. He came from a homeless person that had about 6 dogs. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans.
