Hi there! My name is Georgie GIrl! I am a young, maybe around a year or so, female Whippet/Hound mix. I only weigh about 33 lb. I had to put on weight when my foster mom got me from the shelter. I was skin and bones. I guess wherever I came from originally must have pretty much starved me. I am not afraid of people so I don't think I was abused. Just neglected which is bad enough. I am a happy little girl. I love other dogs and people. My foster mom loves to watch me run around the back yard like a race horse. I fly! That is why she thinks I may have Whippet in me. also because I am small. I do have some kind of coonhound or hound in me. I have that hound dog bark. I am crate trained. I am not totally house broke but close. I love food and would eat all day if I could. I think that is because I was so starved as a puppy. I still act a lot like a puppy in that I can get into mischief if you leave your shoes or something laying about.. I would be good around older kids.,\. The reason I say that is because I am so food motivated, and treat motivated, I might grab a cookie or something out of a toddlers hand. That wouldn't be good. So I would do best with either no kids or older kids. I am very friendly and affectionate. I should have a fenced in yard to run in. I have a wonderful nature. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Porthos. He has have been through a lot. He was well loved by his owner, who passed away. Her father was trying to take care of him, by bringing food to them, but he couldn't catch him. The nice family that bought the house asked the rescue community for help. Traci Bell with Saved By the Bell Pet Recovery and Humane Trapping and Lauren Barrios agreed to go on the rescue mission. Porthos is a smooth coated terrier. He is about 5 yrs old, 20 pounds, and $300 to adopt. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Do you remember Ash's friend Brock from the tv show Pokemon? I'm a bit like him: handsome, suave, a great cook, and kinda a ladies man. I mean, I was hanging out with Misty until I was saved... and she is one tough chick! I have a sweet and gentle temperament, which is great for a boy saved at the local gas station.... just waiting for the right person to SAVE ME!!! I had been there for weeks, with Misty, and the day the rescue CHIEF came to the gas station... I literally rolled over on my back for her and begged her to help me (us).... and she DID!! Talk about being in the right place at the right time!! Now I am hanging with Misty at the rescue and waiting for the BIG DAY... when you adopt me! I am great with all people, older kids would be good because I can be a little nervous still, I am great with other dogs and would love a friend in my furever home to show me the ropes :) I am waiting.... and I am patient.... but really want that home!!!
