Story
This handsome boy was born the first of March to a young and small mama dog that weighed 35 lb. There were eight in the litter and they are all beautiful and sweet but they had to raise themselves. The small farm that they were born on had a young man that stayed on the road doing his music. He had no time for puppies. Fortunately, a very devoted rescue woman who knew of their plight contacted Critter Cavalry and we have been in search of wonderful homes for this litter. Mr Buck is a handsome 9-month-old born the first of March that weighs 28 lbs. Buck would be best suited for a family with another dog to play with everyday, and children that are 12+ A fenced yard is a must!!!! He is housebroken and crate trained. Buckis full of spunk and vigor but yet  love and cuddles. He wants nothing more than to be a part of your life and invite you to make him a part of yours. He is  crate trained and leash trained. He gets along famously with older children, other dogs and any adults that he meets. He's not a shy boy, although he has not experienced a lot in life. He still embraces every new thing that comes his way with enthusiasm and interest. He's going to be about a 30 to 35 lb adult boy that is a perfect size for hiking, jogging, condo or apartment lifestyle or even a home with a fenced yard. He is a whippet/ lab mix that will turn heads with his sleek good looks and athletic body. His very handsome face often has a very serious and investigative look on it as he surveys the world and the things that are happening. He often will wear a sweet smile as he enjoys an encounter and conversation with a kind human that is giving him their time and attention. This boy will be an absolute treasure to have in your life. If you're interested in considering an adoption, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 30, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
Well hello there, I’m Caddo, your future best friend and adventure buddy! I’m a 1-year-old, 25 lb ball of energy and love, and I’ve got a heart of gold just waiting to share with you. If you love pets and belly rubs, then we’re going to be the best of friends! I’m all about getting snuggles, and I’ll even lay down and stay still just to soak up all those awesome scratches. I might be on the smaller side, but I’ve got a big personality and love every minute of playtime. But wait, there’s more! I’m super athletic and basically an adventure expert. I love hiking, climbing on rocks, benches, and logs like a little explorer. You’ll catch me rolling on my back in the grass or leaves, living my best life. And let’s not forget about fetch—if playing with toys were an Olympic sport, I’d be winning gold every time. I’m a toy aficionado, so I hope you have a few good ones in your toy chest because I’ll be ready to entertain myself (and you!) all day long. I’m crate trained, do well in the car, know “sit” and “lay down,” and I walk like a pro on the leash. I’m obedient, eager to please, and if you’ve got treats, I’m a quick study! You won’t find a dog more intelligent and ready to learn new tricks—just wait until we team up. I enjoy the company of other dogs, especially those bigger than me. The family that’s right for me will help keep my brain sharp and my body active through a mix of training, play, and lots of outdoor fun! If you’re looking for a dog that’ll keep you on your toes and share lots of snuggles, then we’re a perfect match! I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to go home with you. My adoption fee is $415. If you're ready for a lovable, goofy sidekick who’s always up for fun, I’m your guy! Apply to adopt me, CADDO LONESTAR, at EHRdogs.org. Let’s make this next chapter of my life the best one yet!January 4, 2025, 12:21 pm

Story
Meet Hope! Hope is 1 year old and about 45 lbs. This sweet and gentle soul was found as a stray alongside three other dogs, and she’s now looking for her forever home. Hope loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she’s always up for a little playtime. But when she’s not having fun, she’s a true couch potato who loves nothing more than snuggling up with her humans. Hope is currently in foster care with other dogs, where she’s getting along great, and she has also been around older kids and is wonderful with them. In fact, Hope would do best with another confident dog in the home to show her the ropes. Hope is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines and her adoption fee is $415.  Apply to adopt  HOPE LONESTAR at www.ehrdogs.org   January 9, 2025, 12:27 am

If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.January 8, 2025, 12:55 am

Story
Fanny is a sweet girl with stunning green eyes (!) and a sweet nature. As a 6-month-old puppy, she learns quickly, motivated by kind words and some treats. She is a bundle of pure joy, ready to find her own person! Her mom, with her 8 newborn babies, was found in a park by a shelter volunteer who brought her to SOS El Arca Animal Rescue. Fanny grew up at the shelter and we would love to bring her to New York in January, which is only possible if we find an adopter or foster-to-adopt person. The shelter is overwhelmed with dogs and we need this beautiful baby to have the life she deserves, not one living in a kennel for months and months. Fanny is a happy and playful little girl, a typical puppy who is energetic and mischievous. However, with training she will develop into a beautiful dog. Her potty training has begun and will require work from the adopter; crate-training and routine will assist greatly with this. Fanny is very easygoing pup, gets along well with other dogs, and loves playing with them. She is good with cats also. We at SOS Animal Welfare believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning, and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. Fanny is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested, and arrive with a health certificate. She comes to her adopter/foster with a harness, a collar, and two leashes for safety. If you feel you would be the right fit for Fanny, please fill out an adoption application or email: sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com if you have any questions. We will happily get back to you!
