Story
Introducing Niabi, the spirited whirlwind of energy and love that's bound to fill your home with laughter and joy! This energetic Whippet mix is a true crackhead foster, always ready to embrace life with boundless enthusiasm. Niabi has mastered the art of kennel training and is well on her way to conquering the potty training challenge. With regular outings, she's quick to catch on and eager to please. High energy is her middle name, and she's more than ready to soak up all the love and attention you can offer. Personal space? That's a foreign concept to Niabi - she's all about being up close and personal! When she's not showering you with affection, you'll find Niabi in the backyard, where she transforms into a blur of motion, racing around with an unstoppable energy. She's also an avid water enthusiast, always up for a splashing good time with the water hose. Niabi gets along with her housemates, though she's known to give them the once-over to size them up. Supervision ensures everyone gets along swimmingly. On a leash, she's eager but pulls with exuberance, a behavior we're working on refining.Chew toys are a must in Niabi's world - she loves them durable and entertaining. And don't be surprised if she engages in solo playtime; she knows how to keep herself entertained. Niabi is versatile when it comes to her ideal home - whether you're her sole focus or you have a furry crew to keep her company, she's adaptable and ready to make your days brighter. If you're prepared for a whirlwind of affection, fun, and boundless energy, Niabi is eagerly awaiting her forever family. Embrace the journey with this vibrant and loving companion - your heart will be forever captivated by her unique charm. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Mojito - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hey all you fabulous people out there, I'm Mojito and I'm here searching for a family, a home...one that I can call my very own!! And since you're reading this I'm hoping maybe just maybe it could be with YOU?!! My name is Mojito but I'm sometimes called Meathead, Dammit, Get Down, Stop That and Mojo. And I answer to all of them!!! My foster mom wants you to know: He is very loving and wants to sit in your lap! I think he will do well with older kids. He will need someone that will be home most of the time. He has learned how to stay in a crate but is not happy about it. He does sleep in a crate at night and usually does well. He also identifies as a cat and loves to climb so he can see everything that goes on. He will get things off the counter if left alone. I didn't have a very good start in life and as a result have some separation anxiety but we have been working really hard and I'm really doing so much better. But my ideal home would be where my person works from home. I'm a youngster yet of around a year old and come in at the top end of the small category of about 25lbs. That is a pawsomely perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes, co-piloting errand runs, supervising yardwork, you name it, I'm just right for the job at hand!! Playful and sweet, active and adventurous, I've got some great qualities ready to share with my very own family. I am so ready to be that lil heartbeat at your feet or on your lap! If you're ready for an active lil buddy to share in your life's adventures all you need to do is stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org

December 2024:  Patty has moved to a foster home.  Her foster home reports that she is doing well and is such a happy girl! She is housetrained and is settling into a routine. She's very playful out in the yard and her foster dad's two greyhounds are happy to oblige, but I do need to separate her and one of the greyhounds at times as he can be a little rough with Patty (not that she minds) when he gets fired up. Patty's foster dad crates Patty when he leaves the house.  Behavior wise, if she gets bored she starts looking for things to get into. She's very curious and will find things to chew on or tear up. Her foster dad has been able to redirect her with an appropriate chew toy.  She listens if he tells her to leave something alone, but that doesn't stop her from trying again later. Giving Patty an extra run in the yard, when she starts looking for something to do, settles her down for a while afterwards. If you can tire Patty out a little, she does well and settles down for a nap while her foster dad works at his desk. Patty does well on leash, is eating well, sleeps through the night, and is a big snuggler. Stairs are no problem and her foster dad is teaching her the dog door. She jumps in and out of the car well now, and settles right down in back during rides. She would be happiest with a yard to run around in, or at least some very active people who could take her on several long walks every day. We don't know how she'd do as an only dog, but probably fine as long as she has people and toys to play with, and she gets enough exercise. Patty was a past Dog of the Month!!  Patty: May Dog of the Month - Greyhound Pets, Inc. (greyhoundpetsinc.org) Sponsored by Leopoldo Basañez, in memory of Bea Patty is looking for her own sponsor.  Could that be you?  More info:  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND?
