He can be timid and fearful at first, but once he is comfortable he is sweet, affectionate and playful.  He loves being with other dogs and people, once he is comfortable.  Nyx can be easily startled, so we do not recommend him in a home with children.  He was found chained to a wooden kennel with dirt floors and it seems that is where he had spent his life, poor guy.  He will need a calm, quieter home and environment.  Nyx is not suitable for an apartment/condo/townhome and will need one without cats.  Nyx is a past Dog of the Month!!  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/nyx-january-dog-of-the-month/ Sponsored by LaVerne Carlson Sponsored by Cathleen MacellariNyx would love to have a sponsor.  If this interests you, please see: https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND? Story
Meet June! She is a very active and affectionate dog, she loves to go for a walk on a leash and discover new places, she is usually invaded when she meets a new dog, and she jumps on people with tremendous joy, she is very sociable and obedient, but when she plays she usually behaves like puppy, he loves balls, cloth toys, rope toys, and he really likes to play with puppies. She was abandoned the day she had her 12 puppies, the "owner" went to throw the babies on the hill while June desperately looked for them where she thought her home was, the person who asked us for support to give her shelter and care told us that She went for her puppies, and they were in a box, under the sun, and there were 4 dead puppies in a bag, together with her 8 brothers, the girl took them down to her house so that June was with them, but when we arrived by they only had 5 puppies alive since he brought them back up the hill. June is currently healthy, happy, and chubby. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Story
Available for adoption in TX only! Are you ready to invite a ray of sunshine into your life? Look no further because Luna, the delightful 8-month-old, 25 pound terrier mix, is eagerly awaiting her forever home! Luna is bursting with energy and spunk, making every moment with her an adventure. She's the perfect playmate, whether it's a game of fetch (even if the 'bringing back the ball' part is still a work in progress) or romping around with her furry sibling. But when all that play wears her out, Luna's favorite pastime is snuggling up close for some well-deserved cuddles. At night, Luna is a model sleeper. She happily retreats to her crate and sleeps soundly through the night, without any accidents, especially if she's taken out right before bedtime. She's making great strides with her potty training and has already mastered the art of going to her kennel like a pro. One of Luna's most endearing qualities is her love for children under the age of one, as well as her friendly nature towards strangers. She's a social butterfly who spreads joy wherever she goes! With her sweet demeanor and loving heart, Luna is guaranteed to make a wonderful addition to any loving home. If you're ready to embrace the boundless love and energy she has to offer, don't hesitate to make Luna a cherished member of your family today! Story
Meet Cassidy, the Charming Introvert! Get ready to fall in love with Cassidy, a pale white pup with captivating puppy eyes and a heart-shaped nose. Despite a challenging past where he navigated the streets and scrounged for survival, Cassidy's resilience shines through. Now, he's on a mission to find a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Cassidy is a dog with a gentle and timid personality. Loud noises and intense reactions make him nervous, and he prefers a calm and serene environment. He needs time to warm up to people and build trust before he feels comfortable and secure. This smart little guy knows some tricks already and is a well-mannered companion during feeding time. He's polite and respectful, showing his intelligence and willingness to please. Sitting on command is just one of the many tricks he has mastered. When it comes to relaxation, Cassidy's favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch or bed. He loves cozy naps and enjoys sleeping in when it's chilly or rainy outside. His head and ears are the sweet spots for scratches and cuddles, and he might even roll over for a belly rub! Cassidy is searching for someone who will shower him with love and understanding. While he respects cats and tolerates other dogs, he prefers his own space and will often retreat to a separate room. However, when the other dogs are not around, he comes out for attention and cuddles. He enjoys the quiet company of a select few men, seeming to have a preference for quieter individuals. It's important to note that Cassidy is not a fan of chaos, whether it's caused by humans or other dogs. He seeks a serene and calm environment where he can feel at ease. Car rides are a pleasure for him, as long as he is the sole rider and not in a crowded car with other dogs. To provide Cassidy with his ideal home, a single, quiet man with no other dogs or possibly a submissive dog that Cassidy meets and approves of would be the perfect match. An at-home social life that aligns with his introverted nature is preferable. While Cassidy tends to avoid general interaction and may not seek pets, hugs, or kisses, he has his moments of affection when he feels comfortable. Cassidy may be an introverted hermit, but beneath his reserved exterior lies a dog yearning for love and understanding. If you're someone who appreciates the quiet moments and can provide a calm and peaceful environment, Cassidy will reward you! (Only) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
