Story
Our B litter is ready for adoption! This sweet litter of pups are around 20-22 weeks old, born around the end of November 2024. There are 2 of the 7 left available for adoption – Bree (female) and Beau (male). We do believe they are now almost full grown, both under 30 lbs. These puppies are some of the lucky ones – a good Samaritan saw a mangy, starving dog eating scrap someone threw out in a back corner of a Mexican restaurant by a dumpster. She couldn’t turn away. The good Samaritan was going to just help mom, when she realized mom looks to have just had puppies. It’s like the momma dog knew someone was there to help, and she turned away from the scrap food and started walking down the street. The good Samaritan followed this momma dog for almost 2 miles to a home, where when they walked up, 7 puppies came running out from under the house (see video!) The homeowner didn’t claim mom or puppies, nor did she want anything to do with them. She refused to feed them or offer them shelter. It took some time, but after a few days, we were able to get all 7 pups and mom to safety. Mom is about 32 lbs and has a wire-hair coat, we have named her Lainey and she has been adopted. We do not know who dad is. We believe pups will vary in size with the 2 runts (Baby and Belle) staying smaller than the others, under 30 lbs. The bigger pups around 40 lbs. MOST OF THESE BABIES ARE LONG IN BODY SO WE DO BELIEVE THERE IS SOME BASSETT/DACHSHUND MIX. We do also believe they have different dads given their massive coat and weight differences. Please keep in mind that these puppies had minimal human interaction until a few weeks ago, but they are now in their prime age for impression, training and growing in a home to learn from. They all would do wonderfully with well-behaved children, other dogs and cats. They did not chase stray cats at the home they were at and they LOVE other dogs. Here’s a breakdown of the litter and some information on each one: All weights are as of March 28, 2025 Beau – Male – 27.0 lbs – Brown and White – Wirehair – Does not seem to shed – Needs someone with some patience. He is a bit timid and would rather watch everyone else play before joining. He would do best with another dog in the home. Beau is learning to trust people and his surroundings. Minimal-Mild Active home that is patient. Bree – Female – 32.0 lbs – Black and White – Short hair, minimal shedding – She is a hoot to have around. She loves to talk to you and is very vocal. She doesn’t mind telling you how she feels. She’s more of a leader and she keeps all the other puppies in check and in their place. If any of them start bickering, Bree will be there to break it up. She’s not afraid to test the waters and try anything new. A bit shorter of legs and stocky build. A more active home is preferred. All of these puppies will make wonderful and loyal companions. Please watch the video to see mom when she was first found, to when the good Samaritan found the house, to the puppies safe and sound and enjoying their first toys. All puppies are current on age appropriate vaccinations, preventions, dewormer, microchipped and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to receiving the animal. Story
Hi there, I'm Riley and I am Rosie's brother. I am a 1 year old wire haired terrier around 40 lbs. I am a sweet boy who is good with the peoples of all sizes and with other dogs when I get the chance for a proper introduction. I don't have any experience with those cat things, but being a Terrier mix, I might not be the best fit. I can be a little shy at first but I warm up quickly and then you and I will be fast friends. My sister and I were pulled from the streets and so she is a little needy of her "big" brother so if you would love double the fun we would really like to stay together. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Hi, I'm Rosie and I see you have already read about my brother Riley. I am a one year old wire haired terrier mix, around 40 lbs. I am a sweet girl who loves everyone, although neither my brother nor I have any cat experience. I am a bit shy and I do love to have my "big" brother around so would love to go to a home with him if at all possible. Just think - double the love and fun! I am sure he said that we came from the streets so there are lots of new skills we are still learning but both of us are super sweet and are so excited to find this thing they call a "home". *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
G Man is really what we call "extra needs". As our vet said when G was examined "what a trainwreck". Upon intake, G Man had no fur on his legs and they were covered in sores. He also was having rectal prolapses frequently, not to mention some stinky breath and skin. With some awesome vet care, medicated baths, oral meds and surgery, he has morphed into quite the handsome and quirky guy that he is today. G does require daily meds for his skin (about $35 per month ) and weekly baths with a medicated shampoo. He does experience bouts of constipation but he has meds for that also. G Man is tolerant of other dogs his size, but is terrified of puppies and larger dogs. He is most comfortable sitting/sleeping beside or on top of his human. His whole world will revolve around his person and when he lays his head against your chest and at you with his eyes, you know that you are deeply loved by him!
