G Man is really what we call "extra needs". As our vet said when G was examined "what a trainwreck". Upon intake, G Man had no fur on his legs and they were covered in sores. He also was having rectal prolapses frequently, not to mention some stinky breath and skin. With some awesome vet care, medicated baths, oral meds and surgery, he has morphed into quite the handsome and quirky guy that he is today. G does require daily meds for his skin (about $35 per month ) and weekly baths with a medicated shampoo. He does experience bouts of constipation but he has meds for that also. G Man is tolerant of other dogs his size, but is terrified of puppies and larger dogs. He is most comfortable sitting/sleeping beside or on top of his human. His whole world will revolve around his person and when he lays his head against your chest and at you with his eyes, you know that you are deeply loved by him! Brunello is a 6-month-old, 10-pound male terrier mix from Tijuana. Don’t let his little old man face fool you, he is spry pup! But Brunello seems to be past that really taxing young puppy stage. While he has bouts of energy, he can also be pretty chill. He’s is an amazing companion. He has adjusted very well during his time with his foster family in the city. Brunello enjoys cuddling, playing with his toys, and being outside for walks. He is doing well understanding “sit” and “leave it” and working on other obedience training. During his time with his foster family, he seems to be house trained. He is using both wee wee pads and the outdoors. Brunello’s leash skills are great, though he can still freeze around loud noises like cars or people playing basketball. Brunello is a sweet, smart, and affectionate pup. He gets really excited when his foster parent plays with a toy with him, and shows that joy with one or two sweet, quick kisses to his foster parent. Brunello has done well in his crate. He sees it as a safe space and goes in there of his own accord. He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found with his favorite purple dinosaur toy. He seems to place more trust in women over men at first. Brunello is looking for a moderately active family. He definitely likes to play but he is tiny so he wouldn’t need much space to do that. He appreciates downtime and does well by himself left alone with his chew. He also likes active moments and will have bursts of energy at home and has walked up to a mile with his foster family. Brunello does well with another dog. He is currently with two resident dogs at his foster and they are getting along well. But Brunello seems like he could adjust well in any family whether they have kids or dogs or not. He has met some children in the neighborhood and was very sweet with them. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
