What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!Give me a little time to adjust and I will show you I am the biggest sweetheart.I had so much fun meeting another dog here in the shelter. My friends at OHS think I would be great at making new dog friends! The type of home I'm looking for:I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I need to go to a home without small children. Fast movements and loud noises can frighten me.I may do best in a home where there is another dog to help boost my confidence and for me to play with!I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted. It could be with you! Story
Hi there, I'm Riley and I am Rosie's brother. I am a one year old wire haired terrier around 40 lbs. I am a sweet boy who is good with the peoples of all sizes and with other dogs when I get the chance for a proper introduction. I don't have any experience with those cat things, but being a Terrier mix, I might not be the best fit. I can be a little shy at first but I warm up quickly and then you and I will be fast friends. My sister and I were pulled from the streets and so she is a little needy of her "big" brother so if you would love double the fun we would really like to stay together. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
