Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com Meet Cuete, the Quirky Clown Looking for His Forever Family! If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, Cuete is your guy! This lovable adult Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless dog) is 37lbs of personality, charm, and quirks. Cuete is the type of dog that will keep you laughing with his funny antics, but he also has a soft, affectionate side that's all about bonding with his humans. Cuete is a bit of an independent spirit and much prefers the company of his people over other dogs. He can coexist with other dogs, but slow, patient introductions are key to his comfort. Cuete does have a tendency to claim his space (and his toys!) and isn’t a fan of sharing, so a home without small children would be ideal. When he's not stealing the spotlight with his antics, Cuete is an expert counter surfer and has no problem hopping over 4ft fences (he’s got some serious jumping skills!). He’s crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he does enjoy letting his voice be heard from time to time—apartment living might require some patience with his barking. Cuete is currently working through some skin issues, and his biopsy has shown a possible autoimmune endocrine condition that may require medication and careful experimentation with diet and soothing remedies. His future family should be understanding and patient as we continue to monitor and treat his condition. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can offer Cuete the love and attention he deserves—and a little space for his quirky personality—he just might be the perfect fit for you! Dogs that state ***RESCUE CENTER*** are available for meet and greets 7 days a week between 11am and 4pm at Lola's Rescue Center located at 22351 E. Fig aka Dobby is the perfect combination of spunk and sweetness! She is living in a foster home with a large german shepherd in Denver, CO. Her sister Lily is also up for adoption! She is 10 weeks old and only 5lbs. She was likely the runt of the litter. She loves to play with dogs who are comparable to her size, but is slightly afraid of bigger dogs currently. She loves to cuddle her humans. She is working hard on crate and potty training as well as learning to walk on a leash. It is taking her a few minutes to really settle into the crate when it’s time to go in it, but her foster anticipates her becoming more comfortable over the next few days. She will be spayed on 3/20 and can be officially adopted the following week! Cricket ended up at a kill shelter in Texas with about 10 other little dogs. They all ended up there as they were owned by a hoarder Very shut down, they all hide in the back of the kennel together cuddling, afraid of the shelter staff. Good news for Cricket, she ended up in a foster before making her way to Colorado and has been doing amazing in foster care with other dogs She is still learning to trust people but one thing she does love is other dogs! she doesnt have a problem sharing and loves to learn from them. Story
Skade is a 2 year old, 18lb Chihuahua/Pug mix (we are guessing).  Skade was found in an oil field in Kansas, all alone and abandoned.  He was transferred to our rescue since the shelter was incredibly overcrowded and they had no room for him there.  Skade is a sweet boy who loves to be with his people. Would be great for an active family - he is young and has lots of energy, loves to do zoomies but can chill and snuggle when it’s time to slow down. He is easy going when left alone, which is awesome. He does well with the other dogs and has so far been uninterested in the cats. He is doing really well with potty training - he is a smart boy who needs a family, possibly with a dog friend to help him with his confidence lapses, he will be an amazing best friend and family member.  He is just a great little dog!
