Story
Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com Meet Cuete, the Quirky Clown Looking for His Forever Family! If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, Cuete is your guy! This lovable adult Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless dog) is 37lbs of personality, charm, and quirks. Cuete is the type of dog that will keep you laughing with his funny antics, but he also has a soft, affectionate side that's all about bonding with his humans. Cuete is a bit of an independent spirit and much prefers the company of his people over other dogs. He can coexist with other dogs, but slow, patient introductions are key to his comfort. Cuete does have a tendency to claim his space (and his toys!) and isn’t a fan of sharing, so a home without small children would be ideal. When he's not stealing the spotlight with his antics, Cuete is an expert counter surfer and has no problem hopping over 4ft fences (he’s got some serious jumping skills!). He’s crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he does enjoy letting his voice be heard from time to time—apartment living might require some patience with his barking. Cuete is currently working through some skin issues, and his biopsy has shown a possible autoimmune endocrine condition that may require medication and careful experimentation with diet and soothing remedies. His future family should be understanding and patient as we continue to monitor and treat his condition. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can offer Cuete the love and attention he deserves—and a little space for his quirky personality—he just might be the perfect fit for you! Dogs that state ***RESCUE CENTER*** are available for meet and greets 7 days a week between 11am and 4pm at Lola's Rescue Center located at 22351 E.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Brownie finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Burrowing under the covers and having her belly rubbed are two of 12-year-old Brownie’s preferred pastimes! The tiny 10-pound black and tan cutie, so easygoing and so sweet, is the coziest of couch companions who loves cuddling with her foster mom, showing her paw for more loving and then doing a dainty ranger crawl. Fond of car rides and walks, walking well on her leash, Brownie enjoys engaging with her doggy foster friends of all sizes provided they respect her boundaries, given her size. Known to bark at her foster mom to “scold” her when she’s been gone and returns to the house, much to her foster mom’s amusement, Brownie loves ANY treats she’s given, including dog biscuits, small bites of carrot, hot dogs and deli turkey. Motivated by food and love, she currently knows “come,” “stay,” “off” and “no,” is never crated and is almost fully house-trained to use a doggy door. Now little Brownie wants to share her BIG love with a quiet home, preferably with someone there more often than not, who will complete her training and keep her in belly rubs fur-ever.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Biggie Smalls finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our  adoption application  so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Believing in the gift of second chances, 10-year-old Biggie Smalls is blooming in his foster home! At a petit 6 pounds, he’s BIG on blankets, whether it’s snuggling in his bed on the couch with his blanket, cocooning in his blankets or being wrapped in a blanket and held by his foster mom. Gaily wagging his tail whenever he sees her, he makes her smile by the way he dances around while he waits for his meals. Friendly and curious, Biggie thrives on being part of the resident “pack” and not only gets along wonderfully with his three doggy foster friends of various sizes, he’s grown more confident, thanks to them, with each passing day. Faithfully following their example, he now enjoys going for walks alongside them, honing his leash skills along the way, and since he’s not a fan of his crate, he’s happiest in the house next to them or to his preferred person. Because he has so few teeth, Biggie loves cheese and all soft dog treats, and being mainly motivated by food and eager to please, is diligently at work on his house-training, wearing belly bands, and using pee pads in a pinch. Now for Biggie to fully bloom, he’s best suited to a loving home with one or more small, friendly dogs and someone there more often than not who will continue boosting his confidence, complete his training, and then bask in the golden glow of his fur-ever loyalty and love.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. Story
Looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, who will keep you entertained, shower, you with love, and be your loyal sidekick? Meet Remi, a six-year-old 17 pound Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold and a personality as big as his love for cuddles! I’ve had Remi since he was just eight weeks old and letting him go it’s truly heartbreaking. Unfortunately our new landlord doesn’t allow pets so I’m searching for the perfect person or family to love him as much as I do. Why you love, Remi? A true conversationalist.: Remi is incredibly expressive and communicative. He’ll talk back to you when you make certain noises and he loves to sing along to music! Loving and affectionate: he’s a total cuddle bug who loves being around people and will happily curl up next to you for movie nights. Adventure, buddy: whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a cozy day at home, Remi is happy just being by your side. Food enthusiast: he’s very food motivated, especially when duck jerky treats are involved!
