Story
September 2017 we were given a puppy in the street, not knowing nothing about the puppy or dogs in general we took him home and named him Ace. Long story short life happens and I am unable to provide my full attention to Ace, do to living situations. He is now a senior dog who needs lots of love and patience. Ace loves to go on long walks and interacts well with my daughter. Friendly with other kiddos. His favorite thing to do is take naps all day *hints his age* Ace loves his treats, hates bath time and loves to fetch the ball. Ace at times guards a sock or toy and can be a little concerning behavior , but I think is from lack of attention that I can provide. As my only furbaby I wish I was able to care for him like I used to but currently my 1yr old has all my attention.

Story
Sweet little Mia is an adorable and loving companion! She is a 3.5-year-old, 12 pound, soft and curly, gold colored, Yorkie terrier/Shih Tzu mix ?. With her gentle nature and sweet disposition, she’s sure to bring a lot of joy to her forever home. Her prior circumstances (She was surrendered by her family) make it even more important for her to find a loving family who can help her feel safe and cherished. If you’re considering adopting her, be ready to provide plenty of patience and affection as she adjusts to her new environment. Her knowledge of commands like Sit, Stay, and Down shows she's eager to learn and bond with her new family. It’s great that she’s already spayed, microchipped and vaccinated—these steps are essential for her health and safety. Remember that each dog has unique needs, so taking the time to help Mia practice walking on a leash and getting more comfortable in the car will further enhance her confidence. If you’re interested in adopting this sweet girl, don’t hesitate to reach out to AFC for more details. She deserves a loving home where she can flourish! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
