Story
Meet Winston Blue Eyes, our little darling little southern gentleman who is  6-7 years old, 10 pounds, and what we believe to be a Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix. His story before coming to the rescue group, was that he is one of 9 dogs pulled from a hoarding situation. The dogs were kept outside, totally matted, full of fleas/ticks, and starving for everything from good to just a little attention. Winston Blue Eyes  was not pulled for long from the hoarding situation for long before we found a very attentive foster home to take him and work with him.  He needed manners taught, and Winston had to be partially shaved because of all his matts.  As you can see firsthand,  he is still an adorable little guy with the most wonderful blue eyes and clipped by the groomer to look like a little lion with his mane!  Winston is shy when you first when you first meet him and it is very understandable considering his situation in the hoarding case.  He is such a sweetie and he blossoms when he gets to know you and then the kisses and snuggles start. He also loves to explore outside in a clean and nicely mowed backyard.  He is not totally housebroken which is so understandable considering the horrible conditions he moved from.  He does get along well with his foster sisters and all his vetting is done with his neuter, vaccines, heartworm checked (negative), put on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, de-wormed, and microchipped.  He is going to be someone’s prize companion. If you want more info on Winston, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com for an adoption form.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 14, 2024, 9:01 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This just makes my blood boil.  RUSSELL was found in his neighborhood by a good Samaritan who took hi in.  His coat was completely overgrown and he was covered in fleas.  The day she brought him to me I just happened to have an appointment with my vet clinic.  He was given a SNAP 4DX text for heartworms and tick borne diseases and all were negative.  After a very thorough examination he was determined to be very healthy.  I have been watching him closely in my home to make sure we are not missing anything.  Nope, RUSSELL runs around and plays with the other dogs, he goes to the back door to be let out to potty and cries to be let back in. RUSSELL is 11 years young and 8.5 pounds.  He is microchipped but his owners will not respond to me even after I text and told them I would be placing him in a new home.  He has spunk and loves to get treats.  He does need a dental as he has plaque build up from neglect.  He climbs the stairs to stay with me and the pack and he is quick.  He acts like he is maybe 8 years old and I suspect he has quite a few years left in him. He has a cataract in his right eye but it does not affect his sight, he can see well and he gets around very good.   If you are interested in adopting RUSSELL please submit an application on the website below.  Locals are welcome to meet him anytime.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         July 5, 2024, 7:42 am

Story
DOB 1-8-2024 Evie is a sweetie, don't miss this one! Evie is social, she gets along great with other little dogs, loves toys and play time outside. When Evie is an adult she will probably weigh around 7 or 8 pounds. Her adoption fee is 1200.00 and her transport charge is 165.00. Our transport carrier is HEARTS LLC, They pick up every other Friday and deliver all stops in the NE on Saturday. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Bastille is a very young 7 month old Yorkie/Schnauzer mix pup that is only 11 pounds and destined to be the love of your life.   When he is fully grown he should be a little under 20 pounds and just the right size for all sorts of fun adventures to do together in life.  He is very even tempered and a sweet little guy that really does well with other dogs.  We have not tried him with cats but since he is such a young pup we are sure he could accept and befriend them for life.  He has the perfect demeanor to be great with everyone and every creature he meets.  When he first came to the rescue foster home,  he didn't know what a leash was and we made him learn on a daily basis.  He is getting better at it with each session.  He would not do good in an apartment as he really doesn't like to be crated and will cry to get out.  He will learn the crate but in the meantime an apartment dweller might have some angry and complaining neighbors. Bastille loves to snuggle, give kisses and be your best friend.  He needs a fenced area to run in because he is not a fulltime couch potato but an active little guy that loves to get his zoomies out.  He loves to play with other dogs and we are looking for that kind of opportunity as well.  Whomever adopts him in going to have lots of fun with him.  If you work from home we are totally all for that.  We would like the adopters to be home most of the time to get that one on one time.He is still a puppy so not completely house trained but is crate trained. Lots of potential for this boy.   We want a family with children over 7 years of age and who know how to be gentle with a small dog.  So much potential with this boy to bring joy and love your way.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 14, 2024, 9:01 pm
