Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This just makes my blood boil.  RUSSELL was found in his neighborhood by a good Samaritan who took hi in.  His coat was completely overgrown and he was covered in fleas.  The day she brought him to me I just happened to have an appointment with my vet clinic.  He was given a SNAP 4DX text for heartworms and tick borne diseases and all were negative.  After a very thorough examination he was determined to be very healthy.  I have been watching him closely in my home to make sure we are not missing anything.  Nope, RUSSELL runs around and plays with the other dogs, he goes to the back door to be let out to potty and cries to be let back in. RUSSELL is 11 years young and 8.5 pounds.  He is microchipped but his owners will not respond to me even after I text and told them I would be placing him in a new home.  He has spunk and loves to get treats.  He does need a dental as he has plaque build up from neglect.  He climbs the stairs to stay with me and the pack and he is quick.  He acts like he is maybe 8 years old and I suspect he has quite a few years left in him. He has a cataract in his right eye but it does not affect his sight, he can see well and he gets around very good.   If you are interested in adopting RUSSELL please submit an application on the website below.  Locals are welcome to meet him anytime.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 18, 2024, 7:41 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Benji! Benji is a charming male Yorkie who was found abandoned at a local dog park in San Antonio. Born around August 16, 2018, and weighing 14.6 pounds, Benji has a lovable side but also exhibits some snappy behavior when he’s not comfortable or doesn’t want to be handled. Despite his past challenges, Benji is a sweet and affectionate dog who just needs a bit of understanding and patience. Benji is very affectionate with those he trusts and will happily roll over to offer his belly for belly rubs, as long as you don’t attempt to correct him or administer medication. He can be wary of new people and situations, so he requires a home with an owner who understands his fearful behavior and can help him feel secure. Benji does best in a home without children and thrives with a gentle, patient touch. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has a fondness for toys. He is potty trained and walks well on a leash, making him a well-rounded companion in the right environment. Benji is fully vetted and has received a ProHeart 6 vaccine, providing heartworm prevention until February 16, 2025. His adoption fee is $400. If you’re experienced with fearful behavior and ready to offer a loving, patient home, Benji might be the perfect match for you. Apply to adopt him today at www.adoggie4you.org and give Benji the safe, loving home he needs. Welcome Benji into your life and enjoy the companionship of this sweet and special Yorkie! Benji is only available for local Texas adoption  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 6:46 pm

Story
Meet the handsome Benito, an Australian Terrier who is constantly smiling because of his under bite &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Beni is 8 years old and even though he is a senior, he has the same energy and pep as a 3-4 year old dog. He is super friendly with people, loves the attention and to give love back, does amazing with children of all ages, and has no separation anxiety. This 15 pounds love bundle is also potty trained, up to date with vaccines and neutered. He currently lives in Harlem, NY, but the hustle and bustle of the city is becoming too stressful for this sweet boy and he needs a new home in a quiet area with a yard, be the only pet, so he can enjoy in peace the remainder of his life with someone he will be faithful to and adore. Benito was abandoned by his first owner, leaving him alone for months until a good neighbor saw him and brought him to the local shelter. His current owner adopted him with the idea of being his forever home, but he needs a different quality of life she cannot give. Please give Benito the life and love he so deserves, he has so much love to give in return &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143August 16, 2024, 3:55 pm
