Story
MEET SPURZ: Age: 6 years (10/2/2018)Breed: Yorkshire TerrierWeight: 18 lbs Spurz is a charming little Yorkie who was surrendered by his family due to circumstances related to his owner’s dementia. He was then adopted and later returned because he was too much energy for the condo lifestyle. He is eager to find the right furever home! Spurz is a friendly and social guy who loves meeting new people. He’s good with dog-savvy children and enjoys the company of other dogs. Recently, he met a cat without any concerns, showcasing his adaptable nature. In his previous home, Spurz was not provided with routine potty time outside, but in his foster home it only took a short time to learn the ropes. He’s currently working on crate training and has doing well although he isn't a fan of being crated. Spurz has a history of being given table scraps, but he’s now focusing on an appropriate canine diet and healthy eating habits. He enjoys going for walks and would do best in a fenced yard where he can explore safely, he is not a good fit for a tether however.  Spurz is looking for a loving, active forever family who will appreciate his playful spirit and ensure that he is regularly groomed. He thrives on companionship and loves being with his people, so a home that can offer him the time and attention he craves would be perfect. Don't let his age fool you, he's particularly energetic and will need a family that can keep up with him. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet little guy, Spurz is waiting for you! Spurz is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeuteredADOPTION FEE: $350 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Hello we recently bought a sweet little fellow named King he was 11 weeks old but we unfortunately are not able to keep him in our townhome due to leasing agreement. King is a very chill and loving puppy who loves to cuddle and is great with our two kids 4 yr old and an 11 yr old. We recently just got his P2 shots so he’s up to date on his vaccines. Also King is starting behavioral school through Petco this week to help with socialization and learning proper commands

Story
Meet Dexter: The Fun-Sized Goofball! Are you looking for a tiny, sometimes needy, sometimes independent, 14-pound pup with a big personality? Then allow us to introduce Dexter! At 3 years old, this Yorkie(-ish?) mix is a little dude with a lot of opinions. One moment, he’s off doing his own thing, and the next, he’s looking at you like you’re the most interesting person in the world (especially if you have snacks).Dexter is a distinguished gentleman who appreciates the finer things in life—like peace, quiet, and a cozy spot to nap. He’s lived with chill dogs before and did fine, but he prefers a kid-free home where he can fully embrace his introverted side. Cats? Kids? The jury is out, but he’d probably rather not. He’s potty trained but might need a little patience while he figures out your household routine (he’s smart, he’ll get there). He also enjoys a good spa day and will need regular professional grooming to keep his fabulous look in check. If you have a calm, low-traffic home and a heart big enough for this tiny, quirky dude, Dexter just might be your new best friend!Adoption Fee: $150Adopt Dexter today—because every home needs a little goofball!
