Story
Adoption Donation   $   599               Located:   RI      (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx   4   years old     Weight: 12  lbs Mini Mouse was surrendered to our rescue recently. She is a sweet girl, shy at first to be expected. She would make a perfect companion for a low key home.  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Please contact shereesdogrescue@gmail.com for more information about this pet.My name is Pete Townsen. I am a merle Yorkshire terrier and I weigh 7 pounds.  I was released by a breeder.  I am a little shy at first.  I get along great with other dogs. My foster mom doesn’t know how I am with cats. I would enjoy a home with another dog as I am playful once I have adjusted to the new home.  I like to play with toys too.  I need a home with kids not younger than 12 years old.  I am not a barker and I don’t really like being in a crate.  I am working on potty training and doing well.  I will need to be retrained in a new home.  I was treated for heartworms and treatment is done.  I can play and have fun but I am not supposed to run around in a large area for several months to let my body heal. I am neutered, current on shots, fecal negative, microchipped and I had bloodwork done and my teeth cleaned.  My adoption fee is $500. If interested, please send your application to sdrapplications22@gmail.comYou can send an APPLICATION FORM  by email at: shereesdogrescue@gmail.com, or by fax at:  469-453-3331.  For more information, please call Linda at 972-658-2487.July 13, 2024, 10:05 pm

Napoleon prefers living with women rather than men (though he's perfectly happy to make friends with men outside of the home) and would do best in a teens and up household. He has lived with cats and dogs before and did well. **Napoleon is in our special adoption program, if you are interested in him please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email Claire at cshamgochian@parl.org to schedule a meet and greet **

DOB 1-8-2024 Evie is a sweetie, don't miss this one! Evie is social, she gets along great with other little dogs, loves toys and play time outside. When Evie is an adult she will probably weigh around 7 or 8 pounds. Her adoption fee is 1200.00 and her transport charge is 165.00. Our transport carrier is HEARTS LLC, They pick up every other Friday and deliver all stops in the NE on Saturday. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
