Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Are you ready to add a pint-sized hero to your life? Meet Hero, a 4.5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix with perky ears, soulful brown eyes, and a heart full of love. At just 14 pounds, Hero is the perfect cuddle buddy who wants nothing more than to be by your side, soaking up all the love and attention you have to offer. Hero is a sweet lover boy with a low-to-medium energy level, making him ideal for cozy nights on the couch or leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. He’s a champion snuggler and loves to lay on your chest, gazing up at you with pure adoration. His favorite activities include chewing on tasty bones, chasing a ball, and lounging in his signature yoga pose – downward dog, of course! And don’t be surprised if he collects his favorite treasures (toys and chews) and stashes them away in his crate for safekeeping. Hero’s crate is his happy place, and he’ll often retreat there on his own to relax or nap. He’s still working on house training, but with a watchful eye, a good routine, and the support of a loving family, he’ll master it in no time. While Hero gets along fine with other dogs, he prefers his space and isn’t a fan of overly pushy pups, especially bigger ones. He’s also cat-curious and should do well with calm, well-behaved children who know how to treat him gently. Hero may take a moment to warm up to new people, but once he knows they’re friendly, he’s happy to welcome them into his circle. Hero enjoys walks on a leash, car rides, and being part of family activities. His ideal home would be a calm, loving environment where he isn’t left alone for long periods. A fenced yard would be a big plus, giving Hero a safe space to explore and helping with his potty training success. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion who will happily curl up by your side and fill your days with love, Hero is ready to be your sidekick. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. January 6, 2025, 12:56 pm
