Fuiji was at a local shelter. He was found on the side of the road and thought to have been hit by a car. The owner never came for him. He came to us very scared and matted. We had to shave him but his locks will grow back. His ears are truly Yorkie ears. He is a pretty brown color so he is a mix. He is shy with new people but once he warms up he is your best friend. He loves to be held and is super sweet. He gets along with other small dogs for sure. Just has not been tested with a large one. . He is about a year old and weighs 8.8 lbs. He would probably do best with older children than toddlers because of his shyness. ##2336356##

I’m very quick on my “paws” so whoever adopts me needs to have the energy to keep me safe. I am always looking for a way to escape and “run free”! I weigh 8lbs 4oz. To date, my foster mom says my potty manners are good, but i do benefit from frequent visits outside so someone who works from home or someone retired would be preferable. 💙 ADOPT LOGAN 💙 Logan is between 2-3 years old, 10 pounds, and a yorkie mix. He’s been with us for a bit over a month, being treated for a really bad skin infection, that was caused by scabies. He’s about 60% healed but will need to continue having medicated baths twice a week, while he heals the rest of the way. Logan’s a really happy dog, he loves to play, snuggle, and get lots of booty scratches. He hasn’t met anybody who isn’t a friend! He loves kids, dogs, people, as long as you’re giving him lovens, he’s a friend for life! He recently had his teeth cleaned and a few baby teeth pulled. He was also vaccinated, had a 12 month heartworm prevention shot, and he’s microchipped. Logan’s fur will continue filling in, as his skin heals. He’s not itchy or showing any signs of discomfort, it’s just gonna take some time. He loves dinner time, walks, and any chance to snuggle, he’s a happy camper! I get along with other dogs, but I do want to make sure I've got your full attention!!! My dental care was basically nonexistent, so I had to have all my teeth pulled. Ready to give an old girl like me a chance? Here's how to meet me: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
