Story
Meet Jazz and Wobbles! These two are a mother and daughter pair who came to us in August from a local animal control. They were part of a hoarding case and are very attached. THIS IS A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Jazz is a 4.5-year-old Yorkie mix weighing 15 lbs. Wobbles is a 6.5-year-old Yorkie mix weighing 25 lbs. Both had cherry eyes when they arrived, and we fixed the surgery but Wobbles’ returned. Because they haven't been outside much until now, they're scared of new things and noises, so they need to have a fenced yard. They love attention but need time to trust you. They're currently living with other dogs and a child in their foster home without any problems. If you're patient and willing to give them love, they'll be wonderful additions to your family! Remember, adopting a dog means committing to them for life. If you're interested in adopting Jazz and Wobbles, please don't call. Instead, fill out an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We check the care history of past and current pets to ensure the best homes for our animals. We reserve the right to approve or deny applications based on what's best for the pets. #lovedogsforever #yorkiemix #littledogs #dogrescue #dogs #rescueismyfavoritebreed #dogsareacommittment #rescuedog #lovedogs #adopt #adoptdontshop

Story
Mickey is appropriately 7-8 years old Yorkie. A few months ago, he was unfortunately hit by a car, and the owners relinquished him to animal control in hopes he would find a rescue that would provide him with the necessary medical care he needed to recover. After a massive surgery by a specialized surgeon, his pelvic area was pieced back together. His foster mom took the best care of him during this time and has done amazing work with him to help rehabilitate.  Mickey craves attention like any Yorkie. He loves sharing a favorite chair or sofa and snuggles. He is great with people, but he isn’t kid tested. Because he is still unsteady on his feet and will be healing and strengthening for a while, homes need to not have young children or rambunctious dogs, because he could easily be trampled and injured. Short walks and an easy, cozy life is what this pup needs for his future. He loves toys and to play tug. Mickey is sensitive to unknown sounds and will bark at them. Unknown sounds could be a whistling teapot, sandhill cranes, gun shots (he is being fostered in the country), etc. He has a big voice for such a small fellow, so no attached style living for him. Mickey gets along well with other small dogs, playing with them, sharing his bed and their companionship. Cats are not a good fit for Mickey's future home, because he is quite persistent and annoying to them, and even a swat doesn’t deter him.  Mickey is fostered in Myakka City, FL, and his fee is $350. He's fully vetted and ready to go.  No airplane trips for this guy, he must go home by way of riding.    Emails generated from Adopt a Pet or Petfinder will NOT be returned. If you visit our website and the dog is marked "available," that means it is available and we are accepting applications. Please read the dog's bio (below) in its entirety before asking questions. If interested, please visit our website and read our adoption policies and complete an application:  www.nakedkissesdogrescue.org/adoption If you do not find the answer to your question(s) on our website, please feel free to email us at nakedkissesdogrescue@gmail.com. Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - AVA BREED: Yorkshire Terrier SIZE - About 12 pounds AGE - 14 years GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Ava is a wonderful little dog seeking the companionship of a wonderful adopter! Not only is she adorable, but she is super sweet, quiet, and clean, and a perfect little sweetheart that would be happy beside her special person enjoying a quiet life. Ava came to us from our favorite shelter partner in WV with another senior (male) that had been in her home. Their owner became ill and went into assisted living and no one in the family was willing to take the dogs in. In fact, they abandoned them in the owner's home until their veterinarian became aware and worked to have the family surrender them. Fully grown at just 12 pounds, Ava is a perfect size for most homes! She is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with her. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be required. Ava will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for her independently. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Ava and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Ava at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
