Story
Katie is almost 7 years old, having spent her first 6 years in a puppy mill. She will require a human with patience and gentleness as sudden noises put her on alert. A home far away from fireworks would be best. She is fostered in a home with both dogs and cats & gets along with all.Earning her trust is not an immediate event, but once you do, she will want to be by your side nearly all the time. Her favorite place to eat is next to her human. As well as sleeping in the same bed."Outside" is becoming more familiar and knows doing her business outside makes her human happy. She also uses the pads inside and her groomer describes her as "a very good girl".Even though she hasn't really figured out "toys" yet, she is very treat motivated. She is being fostered in Hammond IndianaApply to adopt at nbstr.org

Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on September 6th and arrive on September 7th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 8/11/2024 Dog Name: Sissy Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Yorkie/Shih Tzu Approximate Age:1.5 Years Approximate Weight: 8 lbs Adoption Fee: $550 Description: Sissy was found in a rural Texas town in horrible condition. It is obvious that her young life has been filled with neglect and abuse. Her poor little body was encased in matted hair and unfortunately her vision is now severely impaired due to the neglect. It seems that she has never been groomed before and was in a lot of pain from how tight the matted hair was to her skin and feet. Regardless of the hard life she has lived, Sissy is so very grateful and feeling so much better. She has such a will to live and now knows that people can be kind. We believe she sees shadows and has not had any issues learning where her food/water bowls are. She is as sweet as can be and loves to give kisses and be carried around. She loves to run around and we believe she can live a happy and normal life with the right family. She deserves to be loved and spoiled the rest of her life.   We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. August 15, 2024, 9:27 pm

Knock knock. Who’s there? Willow. Willow who? Willow I see your application to adopt me, soon? 🐾😊 I am a sugar pop at 4 yrs old, 8.5 lbs, and a sweet blonde Yorkie. I can be a lil bit shy but boy oh boy, when you give me a good massage and scratching, I melt like butter. I love my new pup housemates and if my foster moms make a move, I am ready to follow and supervise. I LOVE food (ok, we have awesome meals and snack times here!) and am totally cool to come to you for a treat. As I come from a puppy mill, I am learning Doggy 101 Basics, and know I can be an A+ student, just give me time to adapt to the great new world I am in. Ping me if you wanna meet up or send in an application to adopt me. Xoxoxo, Willow Adoption fee of $450 is required. Being fostered in Lindenhurst IL. Story
Hi, I'm Bowser. I'm a 6-year-old male Yorkie who weighs about 9 pounds. I'm new to the rescue and just got to my foster home a few days ago. So far, my foster family knows that I'm super sweet and looooove attention and to cuddle. I'm a little leery around kids and haven't been cat-tested. I like my foster fur siblings but don't necessarily need a doggy friend in my furever home. I'm crate-trained and working hard on my potty-training. Oh, I also only have 3 legs. But I don't let that slow me down at all - I actually move quite quickly and love to jump up on furniture to be by people and get pets. Keep an eye out as my foster family learns more about me! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!! Adoption fee: $525 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application. We are a group of volunteers with families and jobs, so please be patient and allow a few days for our response. JR's Pups-N-Stuff Dog Sellers License 522614

Story
Toad is the sweetest little Yorkie mix. He's 5.5 years old and about 8 pounds. He came from a breeding situation, so he can be a little timid in sometimes, but he's quick to warm up to new people. After less than an hour in his foster home, he was already following his foster parents everywhere and giving them little kisses. He loves other dogs and always seems eager to play with new dogs he meets. Yet, he's also respectful of other dogs' boundaries (he quickly learned that his foster sister didn't want to play with him, and he has given her space since then). When left alone, Toad seems quiet and calm. He doesn't bark in his crate at night.Toad's foster parents are still getting to know him, so this page will be updated as they learn more!Adoption fee: $525All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations.
