Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Dooly🦕 (It's famous Korean dinosaur character name) * With People: Dooly is curious about people but shy and hesitant to approach. He gets scared by sudden movements, so patience and slow, gentle interactions are essential to building trust. * With Dogs: He coexists well with other dogs at the shelter, though he prefers to relax rather than actively play. * With Cats: Dooly has not yet been exposed to cats, so his behavior around them is unknown. * Separation Anxiety: It’s currently unclear if Dooly experiences separation anxiety as he resides in the shelter. Initial training may be needed if he transitions to a home environment. * Potty Training: Dooly is accustomed to outdoor pottying only. * Walking: He has had some leash training during his time at a dog school but will need a trusted handler and double leashing for gradual and safe walks. 💌Special Notes💌 * Dooly takes time to get comfortable with people and requires a patient, understanding environment to help him adapt.

Story
Meet Meimei (aka Mochi)!  Mochi is a 4 year old purebred Akita who's looking for her forever home in Vancouver.  She came from a family who originally got her for her "designer breed" status but are no longer able to take care of her.  Now that she is in foster care, we're learning just how special she is. Mochi is fully house trained, loves car rides and even knows a couple of tricks (sit, shake paw).  She grew up in a condo and perfectly content with apartment living, especially since she's a pretty low energy dog for her size.  She's one of those dogs who enjoys bursts of play, she loves to chase a ball, but for the most part, she's happiest lounging around the house, soaking up belly or just hanging out with her person.  At only 19kg, she's quite small for an Akita, which makes her even more of a little bean. One of the sweetest things about Mochi is how affectionate she is.  While Akitas tend to be quite independent, she genuinely enjoys human company and has no problem showing it.  That being said, she still has that Akita stubborn streak and makes her own decisions about things.  She's a quiet dog, she never barks and she's curious about the world.  Because her previous family didn't take her out much, she's still figuring out the joys of long walks, adventures and just being a dog. One important thing to know about Mochi is that she prefers to be the only dog in the household.  She wasn't properly socialized as a puppy, so she can be reactive when first meeting other dogs.  However, if she's on a hike with a group, she figures out how to co-exist and do her own things.  Like many Akitas, she thrives when she has a person she can bond with, someone who understands her independent nature but is also willing to give her the love she deserves. Mochi is looking for a home where she can be someone's one and only, where she'll be loved for the smart, quirky, and affectionate dog that she is.  If you're looking for a medium-large dog that's low maintenance, quiet, and fiercely loyal, she might be your perfect match. If you think Mochi could be the one for you please send us an application and let us know about yourself!
