After Hiromi’s arrival she was initially timid and lacked confidence. She can still be somewhat apprehensive but she has opened up and trusted us enough to let her true colors shine! She is silly, sensitive, refreshingly affectionate, playful and a free spirit. Her absolute favorite past time is to be showered with love and give it in return. Her gentle, resilient nature is inspiring but not surprising. Hiromi is very communicative by expressing a multitude of emotions with her eyes. Her body language is inviting and she understands how to use it to subtly let you know what’s on her mind. She is also an Akita so stubbornness is part of her DNA! Her ideal adopter should have a calm home environment and be able to provide consistency and a daily routine, where she can continue to expand her horizons. Blitz was born on May 18, and I had the joy of picking him up from a friend when he was just 8 weeks old at the beginning of summer. From that moment on, he filled my life with love and joy. During my time back home from college in Washington, I took great care of him, cherishing every moment we spent together. When it was time for me to return to school, I found it incredibly difficult to leave him behind. I missed him so much that I decided to bring him up to Washington with me, and I even got him assigned as my Emotional Support Animal so he could stay by my side on campus. Weve had wonderful adventures together, but now, after many back-and-forth trips during breaks, Ive come to realize that Im not in the best position to provide him with the care and stability he truly deserves.
