Hello! My name is Cookie Dough, and I'm just a floof with a silly streak, waiting to meet you! Did you notice my super cute bear-like face? It's one of my best characteristics! I'm still a young adult, so my ideal home is with someone who is big dog savvy, who can continue to teach me proper manners. I'd also love someone who has the time and energy to keep me active...exercise is great for both my brain and my body. Do I sound like a good match for you? Ask about me, and we can find out! Story
Kazhem is a very handsome, somewhat shy Akita mix who warms up slowly to new people. But once he is comfortable he will share his goofy personality with you, running zoomies in the grass and showing off his great smile and happy tail wag.He gets along great with other dogs on the beach, the trails and probably in the dog park, but would prefer to be the only doggo in his forever home. Once Kazhem bonds with you he`s very devoted and wants to be with you all the time. Retirees, professionals who work at home, and anyone else who could make him a part of their daily life would be his dream family!

Story
Looks like: Akita mix Female, 10 years old (estimated), 56 pounds Jabulani, lovingly nicknamed Jabu for short, is a sweet girl looking to affectionately nuzzle her way into your heart. This precious girl absolutely adores being in the company of her human companions. She greets everyone she meets with a curly tailed tail wag and lots of slobbery kisses. She also makes sure to show off her agile spins and funny vocalizations to wow her new friends. She is an energetic and active pup that would love to go for long walks, spend some time playing fetch in the yard, training using positive reinforcement methods, and enjoying a nice food puzzle. Big and beautiful Jabu prefers to be the apple of her person's eye, for this reason she would be perfectly happy as a solo dog. This elegant and refined young lady would prefer a home without tiny little hands as she enjoys her space after meals and that can be hard for kiddos to understand. Jabu really loves her people and can be heard whining and complaining when left at home alone. With some support from our behavior team you should be able to work through her very mild separation anxiety. This sweet girl joined us after her guardian sadly passed away unexpectedly.

Story
Meet HIROMI HIROMI was turned into the shelter as a found dog. No one ever came for her. Despite being failed by her former person, this sweetheart remains devoted and loving. After Hiromi’s arrival she was initially timid and lacked confidence. She can still be somewhat apprehensive but she has opened up and trusted us enough to let her true colors shine! She is silly, sensitive, refreshingly affectionate, playful and a free spirit. Her absolute favorite past time is to be showered with love and give it in return. Her gentle, resilient nature is inspiring but not surprising. Hiromi is very communicative by expressing a multitude of emotions with her eyes. Her body language is inviting and she understands how to use it to subtly let you know what’s on her mind. She is also an Akita so stubbornness is part of her DNA! Her ideal adopter should have a calm home environment and be able to provide consistency and a daily routine, where she can continue to expand her horizons. Hiromi gets excited for her daily walks and is a great traveler! She seems non-reactive to other dogs and might do well with a mellow male dog. She is approx 4 yrs old and weighs 57 lbs. She is also crate and house trained. She is ready to pledge her love and devotion! Are you?! Story
Meet TOBI We don't know much about Tobi's past, but his future is very bright. He is a big boy with a heart the size to match. He is a gentle giant with a gregarious, carefree attitude and is eager to learn and experience the world. He is game for adventure and deserves to have that special someone to accompany him in life. Tobi is playful and has a welcoming aura about him. He also has an unabashed, confident side to him. He's just not sure how he ended up here, and we're making sure he never has to wonder that ever again. He is best as an only dog and someone with previous Akita experience is best. Tobi is approximately 5 yrs old, and due to his size should be on a good quality joint supplement. He's only been with us a short time, so will need to gain a few pounds to look his best, but he's already on his way to showing us his beautiful soul. Story
Meet Emi Emi’s sleek, brindle coat is a thing of beauty and so magnificent to behold. Engaging, charismatic, gregarious, and spirited are the first things you sense about her from the moment she enters a room. Emi exudes a brand of joy that makes her impossible to resist! Not until you witness her graceful elegance and see a bit of frost around her muzzle, do you realize she is a senior beauty with an abundance of life experiences to share. She’s 8 yrs old and has found herself homeless, but she’s seen enough in life to know there’s still a wonderous journey ahead. She is a lover of people and she’d much rather be enjoying a fun adventure with you by her side on interesting walks or trips to the beach, than be left at home alone. She needs to be an only dog and is not suitable with cats. She is approximately 60 lbs. and seems unaware she has some arthritis and hip dysplasia. But as you can see, she enjoys playing with her toys and doing tricks for treats. Her healthy curiosity keeps her engaged in life’s adventures, though she also loves her beauty naps. Please don’t let her age deter you from considering giving her a home. Her heart is overflowing with love. If you are interested in Emi, please complete our adoption application in the link below.
