Story
Highlights:needs another more confident dog in the homeMeet Indy – A Gentle Puppy Looking for a Patient HomeIndy is a sweet and timid puppy who is still learning to trust the world around her. She may be shy at first, but her love for other dogs shines through. When she`s with canine friends, Indy shows a more confident and playful side, making it clear that she would benefit from having another confident dog in the home to help guide her as she continues to grow.Indy is still working on building trust with people and isn’t quite ready to come up for pets just yet. However, she’s making progress by learning to take treats from a gentle hand and slowly discovering that humans can be a source of comfort and kindness. With time, patience, and the companionship of a confident dog, Indy has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. She needs a quiet, understanding home that will give her the space and encouragement to come out of her shell at her own pace. Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website.

Story
Loki is a 3 year old neutered male Akita that we need to rehome because we are relocating somewhere his breed is not allowed. He has no known health problems. Loki attended a 3 week board and train program, so he is crate/house/leash trained. He is a good dog who needs a loving home. Preferably one with someone or a family who will play with him and take him on walks. Loki did well with the cats we had, two other dogs we had/have (one passed due to old age), and two young children. We are not sure how he would be around other people's cats/dogs/children but we are open to a meet and greet to see. He does get nervous around strangers and may growl but it is all talk/noise. Loki is truly a lover and warms up fast. He loves the outdoors, being active, and taken places.
