Story
This is Rambo hes an akita chow mix 6 y/o. A very affectionate dog and loves to play although not very much with toys. He will never say no to any cuddles, hugs, kisses OR TREATS. He loves going on walks but has prey drive and sheds a lot. He loves car rides. Like all akitas hesitant when first given directions. When we have to go to work we put him in a cage so he doesnt have any accidents, Hes usually in there for 9 hours and does really good. Good manners around the dining table although hell snoop around the trash can when left out. He doesnt bark inside the house, he doesnt tear up furniture. When guilty of something his ears will be down and you can tell by his demeanor. Always super excited to see you when you get home. We tried to train him on our own with basic commands. He is very food driven, he can very well be trained a lot more if time is dedicated to train which we dont have. He will need very loving home to adapt well. would love to share so much more about him !

Story
Meet Hazel! Hazel came to us as a stray and sadly was never claimed, so she is now searching for a new forever home! Hazel is a Akita mix that is about 3 years old and weighs about 53 pounds. Hazel is a sweet and spunky girl with lots to give! Hazel is housebroken and is good with kids, she will need a home without cats. Hazel is good with the other dogs, we do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along. Hazel is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped & spayed! If you are interested in Hazel please contact the shelter directly at 989-831-7302 to set up an appointment!
