Story
Spike here! I'm a fun-loving, rambunctious Akita mix with energy to spare! I love to run, play, and wrestle, especially if I have a dog buddy to join in on the fun. I've lived with other dogs before, so I know how to share my space, though I do like to be the center of attention! If you're looking for an adventurous, playful pup to keep you on your toes, I'm your guy. Let's go on some wild adventures together!. I would be best suited to a home with no small children as I am not aware of my size and could knock them over by mistake. I am full of endless energy and have a big personality. I have a heart full of love to give. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out a adoption profile and send it to midland@ontariospca.ca Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 36 Age: 1yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Quick Facts Name: Chance Age: 4 years Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Akita Mix Colour: Ivory (a mix of white and light brown) Weight: 23 kg My Story Hello there! I'm Chance, and I can't wait to tell you a little about myself. My journey began back in 2021 when I was rescued from a shelter in Gwangju. I was found in quite a tough situation, but now I'm ready for a fresh start with a loving family! My Social Side I'm a gentle soul with a curious heart. At first, I might take my time warming up to new people, but if you offer me a tasty treat, I promise to come around quickly! I love food, especially a variety of snacks, though I prefer to take my time enjoying them rather than gobbling everything at once. Once I feel comfortable, I love to be petted and might even show you my belly as a sign of trust. I enjoy being around kids, especially those under 13; they always bring a smile to my face! I also have a friendly nature when it comes to other dogs. I like to say hello and, once I'm comfortable, I'm happy to play! I'm still getting used to cats; I tend to get a bit excited when I see them, but I'm learning to stay calm. My Energy Level & Walks My energy level is just right. I enjoy my outdoor adventures and walks, but after a fun day, you can find me happily resting at home. I'm pretty good on a leash, although I sometimes get excited and might pull a little-just a pup being playful! Occasionally, my excitement gets the best of me, and I might bounce around happily, but I always make sure to wait for my walking buddies if they fall behind. More About Me I may not bark much, but when I do, it's usually to let you know if something interesting is happening around us. I've learned how to hop into the car by myself, though I prefer to be guided to the right spot first. One of my favorite things is toys-especially squeaky ones! I love to play and engage, and I know how to sit for a treat. It takes me a little time to show my playful side, but once we bond, you'll see my fun-loving spirit shine through! Even though I'm four years old, I still have a cute, puppy-like charm with my soft, droopy eyes. When it's mealtime for the humans, I like to sidle up and rest my face against their chair, patiently waiting for a little something to fall my way. Last Message Overall, I'm a sweet and adaptable pup, looking for a forever home where I can share my love and companionship. Are you ready to be my new friend? I promise to fill your life with joy and warmth! Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRNg8NjTkRU&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jx8XZNSUWLLB2zHPSNEBqOM ##2260907##

Story
Meet Ginn (short for Ginger) – a stunning 2.5-year-old male Husky with beautiful blue eyes and a heart full of love! Ginn's original parents had to leave the country, and I’ve been fostering him for a few months. Unfortunately, due to my travel plans, I can’t keep him but he’s a lovely boy looking for his forever home! About Ginn: ✔ Neutered, healthy, and fully up to date on vaccinations ✔ Potty trained & house trained – no accidents, no destructive behavior ✔ Crate trained – feels safe and secure in his crate ✔ Loves to play tug & is very affectionate – he’ll be your best friend in no time! ✔ Great for a home with space – A home with a fenced yard would be preferred. Ideal Home: Ginn just needs a family who loves her and wants to cuddle and play. He does not like to be crated alone and would like to lay on the couch when home alone. What Comes with Ginn: He comes with all his belongings, including his crate, toys, grooming kit, and more—everything his original parents left for him.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LENNAN hails from the northern community of Pikangikum and was part of our Heart Litter who came south to find their forever families. He’s had his first 2 sets of vaccines, a microchip, dewormer and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. We have no information on either parent so the breed he is and the size he’ll grow to be is just a guess. This happy, energetic little guy is a perfect combination of snuggles and energy. He loves being around his people and playing with his many dog toys. LENNAN is crate trained and will sleep quietly in it at night and also take naps in there during the day. He’s really good at using the bathroom outside and has very few accidents in the home but if he does go there are pee pads by the door that he’ll use. It’s still a work in progress though as he’s not at the stage to ask to go outside yet. He loves to go on walks and like all puppies, he excitedly runs ahead of you. He’s at a chewing stage right now as he’s teething so he has several chewy toys plus Nyla bones to keep him busy. He has no food aggression but does it quickly so a is feeder would be a good investment for him. He knows a few basic commands and will sit for his meals and take treats “gentle.” He’s a very smart guy and picks up very quickly on commands. LENNAN’s ideal family would be an active one who loves the outdoors, going on hikes, walks and will take him on an adventure or two. He’s meet a few dogs and has got on well with them so he should suit living with another one. He hasn’t met a cat but if a dog is cat savvy and with a slow, monitored introduction he should be able to live in a home with a cat or another dog but would do equally as well in his home provided he wasn’t left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6 and up and he does require a fenced-in yard. Puppies are cute, playful and fun but also require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We need his adopter to take him for puppy obedience/training to help him become a well mannered and good boy. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and his potential adopter must be in agreement to have his neuter by the time he’s 9 months of age or 60lbs (which ever comes first.) It will be at the Barrie SPCA but you can use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it there. We do need it to still be performed by 9 months of age and we need a copy of the invoice and a picture of him (preferably in a cone after the surgery) in order to receive the reimbursement.  If LENNAN sounds like he’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet him.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 14, 2025, 11:20 pm
