Hello, my name is Liz and scout is my fiancés dog and I’m posting this for him. He has had scout since he was puppy. We recently moved in together and he isn’t fond of little kids we have tried multiple different things and nothing has worked. He would definitely benefit from being in an adult home with no little kids running around and with someone who is experienced with this dog breed. Story
This sweet girl is Mika, and was welcomed into my home February 1, 2021. Mika was everything we needed during the pandemic, and I believe she needed us as well. She amazed us in ways that were so different than our previous pups - she didn't jump on furniture, (oh so) rarely barks, follows general commands, and genuinely just wants another's presence. Working from home, Mika always had someone with her in me and is always affectionate and a great companion. She is however also amazing on her own and has never gotten into any trouble (i.e. garbage, food stealing, chewing on furniture) when left alone. She also likes to entertain herself with her toys. She has also done very well with dog sitters. She is approximately 85 lbs. and while strong, is very walkable. She is playful with others, loves children, and plays gently. My munchkins are currently 13,12, 6, and 5. She does NOT do well with other dogs in my experience. We certainly want to make sure that she is placed in a home of love!

He was adopted for a short period of time but through no fault of his own he had to come back to the shelter. He does not like other dogs and we think the best fit for him would be an active adult family. He loves going for walks and rolling in the grass. He also knows some commands! Since Kuma gets very anxious around other dogs, the shelter setting has become a bit stressful for him especially with his large size. The staff love to walk him and say he is one of our most well behaved dogs! If you think that you may be able to open your heart and home for this long term resident Kuma, please submit an application and we can set up a time for you to meet him! adoption donation : $699 weight 45 lbs Age: 10 months as of 8/15 Echo is a friendly, easy going and mellow pup, she loves to play with other dogs and adores her toys and bones. Echo was taken in by Wags after her family moved to another state and was unable to find a rental that would accept her. They were devastated, but wags promised to find echo a wonderful family who would appreciate such a special girl   Since she arrived at the rescue Echo has settled in  beautifully, she gets along with everyone and her tail never stops wagging.   Echo has had her vaccinations and has been spayed  and is a healthy and happy girl who will make a wonderful companion to the lucky family who adopts her.   Please note that Wags of Monroe county is a struggling 501(c) 3 volunteer organization where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Wags desperately need to raise funds to help the sick and older dogs at the rescue. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue.
