Story
Ginger | 5 years old |Malamute| 72 lbs | Loves people| GTA Ginger is a very affectionate and gentle dog, who LOVES people. He is happy to meet men, women, and children, and approaches everyone with the same friendliness and curiousity. Ginger joins us from a community in northern Manitoba. He was a favourite of the rescue contact living there, but was often bullied by the other dogs living in the community. She sent him to safety, and now we're excited to find him a home where he can be safe and loved the rest of his life! Despite some physical scars, Ginger's nature is trusting and relaxed. He is a little wary of larger male dogs, but would likely be fine with a female dog or a smaller dog. He has no issues trusting people, and is very calm and confident inside the home. Ginger is a big chiller but he has adorable bouts of play, where he likes to chase his tail and generally act like a big goof. He is also learning to play with toys (big fan). He likes to find a big snowbank to flop into when he's tired out. He's a big cuddler, and loves to wrestle and give kisses. Ginger is housetrained and walks nicely on leash although squirrels are currently very interesting to him and he can pull when he sees one. This is a very good boy who has survived a lot but, like so many of the most special dogs, has an incredibly loving and resilient personality. We'd love to find him a home where he can live the dog life he deserves with lots of play, fun, love, safety, and security. If you can offer this life to Ginger, then please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/pawsacrossthewater/adoption-application

Story
Hello! My name is Yogi and I’m a 2-year-old male Husky weighing 20 kg (44 lbs). With my stunning Husky looks and playful personality, I’m sure to steal your heart! I’m full of love and affection, always ready to show off my playful and charming side. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy making new friends, both furry and human. When I see people come and go, I sometimes let out a signature Husky howl to say, “Don’t forget about me!” I’m energetic and love outdoor adventures. While I can pull a bit on the leash during walks, I calm down quickly and walk nicely once I’ve burned off some of my excitement. I’m also very food-motivated and will happily accept treats from anyone, making it easy to become fast friends. Because I’m a true Husky at heart, I’d love to be adopted by someone familiar with the breed and its unique traits. My high energy and lively personality are part of my charm, but I need someone who can keep up with me and understand my needs. I love to play and often express my desire for attention with high energy, but that’s just my way of saying, “Let’s have fun together!” Above all, I crave love and connection with my humans and promise to be a loyal, affectionate companion. Are you ready to share your life with a fun, energetic, and lovable Husky? I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together! 🐾 To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyEuMiuW6Ww58lIWSlAQjTbitIyvmFWwX

Story
Bunny / Spayed Female / 3 Years / Northern Mix / 90lbs / Dogs:No / Cats: Dog Savvy Cats / Kids: Yes / Location: Campbellcroft 🐾 Re-introducing Bunny! 🐾 Bunny is a 3-year-old, 90lb sweetheart who's been through quite a journey! She was rescued from Attawapiskat after her owner thought she might have been hit by a car. Thankfully, she wasn’t hit but had likely been attacked by other dogs, leaving her with multiple injuries. After some recovery, she's back to her floofy, loving self! This big girl is likely a mix of Malamute and St. Bernard, and she has a heart full of love to give! 🐕💖 She’s a total cuddle bug, who loves belly rubs, snuggles, and squeaky toys. Bunny’s also a fan of meat snacks, squirrels, and outdoor adventures. She has a unique way of playing with balls—she prefers throwing them into the air or catching them right from your hands rather than fetching! Bunny is a social girl who loves car rides and places that welcome pups (especially spots with tasty dog treats—she's all about that Pup Cup from Dairy Queen!). While she’s great with other dogs outside the home, she prefers to have her humans all to herself. Due to her protective nature over her human’s affection, she’d do best in a dog-free home. She’s been good with cats but might get a little jealous, too—she’s a quirky, adorable love bug! 🐾 Bunny would thrive in a home where someone is around often since she’s such a people-dog. She's playful, gentle, and a big teddy bear who loves being close to her humans. Bunny is currently looking for a new foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home. If you think you’re the right fit, fill out an application today, and we’ll be in touch! Bunny has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccines. She is being fostered currently in Campbellcroft but we can arrange transport anywhere needed for a Foster or Foster to Adopt. Apply today! https://forms.gle/w14SwRVM4Q3ayupH9
