Story
Quick Facts  Name: Duke Age: Under 2 years old (estimated) Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Alaskan Malamute Color: White & Black Weight: 23 kg Height: 60–70 cm (shoulder height when standing) Microchip Number: 410 097 800 546 264 Health History Treatments: Tested negative for 4DX, Treated for Giardia with prescribed medication on December 5, 2024. All About Me Hello, future family! My name is Duke, and I’m a young Alaskan Malamute with a heart as big as my paws. My journey started with a little hardship, but I’ve come so far, and I’m ready to share my playful, loving nature with someone special—maybe you! Personality I’m the kind of dog who makes friends wherever I go. Whether it’s a stranger or someone I’ve known for a while, I love to greet everyone with a wagging tail and a gentle nuzzle. My favorite way to show affection is to roll over and let you rub my belly—sometimes even on our very first meeting! Despite my size, I have a sweet, goofy charm that makes me hard to resist. People say I’m like the lovable class clown because I always manage to bring smiles to everyone around me. My Energy Level & Walks Exploring the outdoors is my favorite thing to do! Walks are a chance for me to stretch my legs and satisfy my curiosity. Sometimes, I get so excited about all the new smells and sights that I might pull on the leash a bit, but with a little guidance, I know I’ll get better. I’m also great in the car—I can hop in and out on my own and settle down quietly during the ride. Whether it’s a trip to the park or a weekend adventure, I’m always ready to go! Life at Home At home, I’m a sweet and loving companion. I’m happy to use indoor pads or go outside for bathroom breaks, but I’ll count on you to keep my space tidy so I can avoid any accidental messes. I’m curious about everything, especially things on counters or shelves, so you might catch me sneaking a peek at what’s up there! I’m always up for mealtime and treats—it’s one of my favorite parts of the day. I’m polite when it comes to sharing food and toys, but I’m very enthusiastic about eating, so feeding time is always an exciting event for me! One of my quirks is that I like to talk in my own special way. Whether it’s a little howl to say hello when you come home or a playful “woof” to ask for attention, I just love expressing myself. My Ideal Home I dream of a home filled with love, activity, and understanding. Here’s what I’m hoping for in my forever family: Active Lifestyle: I thrive with plenty of outdoor time, walks, and adventures. Gentle Patience: I’m still learning the ropes, and with your guidance, I’ll be the best companion ever. Companionship: I adore being around people and will happily keep you company wherever you go. Last Message If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, I might be the perfect fit for you. Let’s start this amazing journey together—I can’t wait to meet you! With love and tail wags,Duke  Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb0x-MWUe-0&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jxw2A9wUxhLxBOlewgf2iu- ##2256505##

Story
Quick Facts Name: Bruce Age: 6 years old approximate  Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Alaskan Malamute  Color: Black & White  Weight: 32kg  All About Me Bruce is a four-year-old Alaskan Malamute weighing 32kg. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and is ready to find his forever home. He was found as a stray and ended up in a city pound, but despite having a microchip, no one came for him. He was at risk of euthanasia before being rescued and has now been waiting in a shelter for over a year. Hot and humid summers in Korea have been challenging for him, and he would thrive in a home where he can stay comfortable and cool. He is affectionate and enjoys meeting people, often leaning in for pets and belly rubs. He also tolerates grooming well but sheds heavily, as expected for his breed. Personality and Social Skills Bruce is friendly and social, approaching both familiar and unfamiliar people with ease. He enjoys attention and does not mind being handled, including being picked up under his belly. He is especially gentle with children under 13 and appreciates their company. With other dogs, he is generally well-mannered. He greets new dogs politely but does not always engage in play. If another dog initiates conflict, he may respond, so introductions to unfamiliar dogs should be handled with care. His response to cats is unknown, as he has not been tested around them. Energy and Activities Bruce has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities but settles down calmly afterward. He walks well on a leash, though he may pull at times. He is confident in urban environments and is not easily startled by sudden noises. He loves car rides, is able to get in and out of the car on his own, and enjoys looking out the window or resting during trips. Training and Habits Bruce is crate-trained and remains calm in a kennel. He primarily relieves himself outdoors and may mark in new environments, which can be managed with training. He does not exhibit separation anxiety and rarely barks. When it comes to food, he does not guard his meals from people but may growl softly if another dog approaches while he is eating. He is not overly possessive, but he can sometimes hold onto objects in his mouth and may need continued "leave it" training. Ideal Home Bruce would do well in a home that can provide him with regular outdoor exercise and a cool, comfortable environment. He enjoys human companionship and would benefit from a family that appreciates his affectionate nature. He could live with other dogs if introductions are managed carefully. Special Notes Bruce is an affectionate, social dog who loves attention and companionship. He is well-adjusted to various environments and is confident on walks and car rides. While he does not show aggression, he may need continued training in resource guarding and leash manners. ##2304847##

Story
Hello! My name is Yogi and I’m a 2-year-old male Husky weighing 20 kg (44 lbs). With my stunning Husky looks and playful personality, I’m sure to steal your heart! I’m full of love and affection, always ready to show off my playful and charming side. I get along well with other dogs and enjoy making new friends, both furry and human. When I see people come and go, I sometimes let out a signature Husky howl to say, “Don’t forget about me!” I’m energetic and love outdoor adventures. While I can pull a bit on the leash during walks, I calm down quickly and walk nicely once I’ve burned off some of my excitement. I’m also very food-motivated and will happily accept treats from anyone, making it easy to become fast friends. Because I’m a true Husky at heart, I’d love to be adopted by someone familiar with the breed and its unique traits. My high energy and lively personality are part of my charm, but I need someone who can keep up with me and understand my needs. I love to play and often express my desire for attention with high energy, but that’s just my way of saying, “Let’s have fun together!” Above all, I crave love and connection with my humans and promise to be a loyal, affectionate companion. Are you ready to share your life with a fun, energetic, and lovable Husky? I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together! 🐾 To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyEuMiuW6Ww58lIWSlAQjTbitIyvmFWwX

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.SUMMIT has a typical malamute personality.  Independent, smart, playful, and affectionate, but only when he wants to be. He is crate trained, however, if he's left in the crate, for what he considers is too long, he will find a way out.  A large fenced yard for him to run zoomies and burn energy would be ideal.  He enjoys long daily walks where he can explore.  He also loves car rides.  If he could go on a car ride to a place to walk, he would love the adventure.  After the walk, he loves to cuddle and relax with his humans. SUMMIT gets very excited at seeing other dogs as he wants to play, but not all dogs appreciate his enthusiasm.  It may be best that he is in an only dog family.  SUMMIT's furever family should have the time to spend with him, take him on many adventures, and give him lots of pets and attention. We no longer accept PayPal due to their fees & charges but if the potential adopter is willing to pay them we will accept PayPal. Beautiful, shy Benny was found on the side of busy highway in GwangJu, korea. There were several dogs, some chained & some roaming freely. The Korean rescue said they were not sure how they all got there, but they clearly had all been neglected & on a daily bases exposed to being hit & killed from the high speed of cars speeding by. The Korea rescue had to of course rescue everyone & they thought the lovely Benny was a young puppy, but after taking her to their vet, they found out she was pregnant. Unfortunately she miscarried all of her babies one month before her due date. The sheer heartbreak of her beginning to life is so sad. No one wanted Benny & we were asked could we help & it was our pleasure & joy to bring Benny into our rescue to find her, that family who won’t let her down. Benny was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Benny was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. The stunning Benny has had people let her down & now she is being taught what it’s like to be loved. This lady is a shy girl around humans, she is very tolerant but loves dogs. Dogs are her world. Dogs make her happy. We have Benny with many breeds of dogs making her feel comfortable. She will snuggle up with another little Korean friend she came with but will play with the other dogs. Benny as we know was left outside for the first part of her life rain, hail or shine & hates being outside but loves being inside. This is understandable based upon her start to life so her new home with have to work with her on that & keep that in mind. She is really good with being picked up & given love once she is picked up & will soak up the affection. This girl does not have a mean bone in her body. She is very slow to warm up & feel comfortable & will take a couple of weeks before she will be her normal self. She has been to hell & back. But once she trusts her people, they become everything to her. What we do know is, she loves to eat & adores a good outfit & when it’s time for bed she likes to snuggle up with her dog friends. Benny is really good with being bathed & dried by the hairdryer & so tolerant. She would still need work walking on her harness & leash & gets worried when outside & sometimes won’t want to move or walk. But who could blame her. We have discovered that she will walk on her harness & leash for some people & for other people she will not move at all. Benny loves her dog friends so much. Benny’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. She has always been with other dogs & she adores other dogs so in her forever home another dog or dogs is mandatory in her forever home for her to have her best life. She also initiates play with dogs & adores playing once comfortable. Benny will never be a pack leader but wants to be apart of a pack. While in Korea, Benny was taught to go on potty pads so her family has been working with her to go potty outside. Benny still needs to go for more car rides as she has not been for hardly any since being in the rescue. She will just sit in the car & won’t move, she is just shy going in the car. She probably thinks every time she is going to go in the car she is going to get dumped. So she needs a lot more car rides in her future to let her know she isn’t going anywhere. We are & only looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. She wanted out of the crate after the flight. Benny as you can imagine spent such a long time in the shelter in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Benny where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Poor sweet Benny has already had a failed adoption & a failed meet & greet so Benny is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her again. Poor misunderstood Benny was adopted again & returned. She needs a home who is dedicated & being patient with her. Benny has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs. Benny needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Benny is roughly 32.2 lbs, she is 4 years old & perhaps a samoyed shiba inu mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed. Poor beautiful Benny was treated for an awfully bad chemical burn. She is microchipped, heartworm negative, tested for giardia & was negative. She previously received shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. Once the shots expire we only redo rabies as we do not over vaccine dogs. We have spent far more on Benny with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, broker fees, her medical care, boarding fees, etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Benny has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Benny was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Benny’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Benny potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Benny & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Benny who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Benny has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
