Story
Violet is the most joyful and lovable gal! She is SO happy to be alive and makes sure you know how grateful she is every second! Having a bad day? Violets smile will light up the WHOLE room. She is a cuddly girl that is happy to be around her person and will be happy to do anything with you! Want a chill day on the couch? Vi approves! Want to take a 3 hour hike? Vi also approves! She is a very adaptable gal! Violet is searching for her new bff! Could that be you? Violet is a smaller pittie mix, around 55lbs and is all muscle! She is a young dog but clearly has been bred multiple times. She has done great with other dogs her size or bigger with slow introductions. Violet is fully potty trained, leash trained, crate trained, and will happily nap in her crate if you need to leave her home while you go out. She is energetic and loves to play just as much as she loves to snuggle! Violet has some prey drive to small animals so no small dogs or cats. Because of how jumpy and mouthy she can get when she plays or gets excited, we believe she would do best and thrive in a home with kits 10+ only. She has been working on this with a trainer and has improved so so much! Violet has spent 6 weeks with a credible balanced trainer @boooshank (IG) and has made a lot of progress and learning to slow down and think before just acting, which is HUGE for her. She has struggled with being bale to control her impulses because of her prey drive but with working with @boooshank, she has been able to let the chickens be friends and not want to eat them when walking by! Whoever takes a chance on Violet gets a lot of AMAZING training perks from her trainer Lee! Violet comes with lifetime assistance from him, group classes for her whole life and 1:1 lessons, boarding options and priority swimming pool slots! Violet is currently being fostered in Woodland, CA. If you would like to meet Violet, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.californiabullyrescue.org/adopt.

Story
Nugget is an introvert's best friend! He's medium energy, loves going out for walks and he walks well on leash, is crate trained, and respects established thresholds. He enjoys sunbathing, splooting, rolling around in the grass, chasing the water hose / sprinkler, napping after exercise, and is very food motivated. Nugget is slow to trust - he needs time to get to know you and does best in a calm, structured environment. While Nugs is not a social butterfly, when he bonds with someone he bonds for life. Once he trusts you he turns into a giant cuddle bug who melts when given affection. Nugs is dog friendly, and responds well to slow introductions. If you would like to meet Nugget, please fill out our adoption application on our website www.cabullyrescue.org/adopt Location: Lakewood, CA

Story
Mr Lucky is estimated at over 10 years old. He came to CBR by luck and a hot mess on New Years eve. He had a large mass on his side, chronically infected ears and eyes plus what ened up being two, yes two, large tumors in his scrotum and what the vet believes are healed chemical burns all over his back and belly. All three masses have been removed as well as him being neutered. He also has meds for his eyes and ears, he doesn't like them but tolerates have the meds administered. Though he is a barker and despite everything life has thrown at him he is still a loving and affectionate dog. He pays almost no attention to the resident cat or goats. He may look at them or smell them but then waddles off to his next adventure. Which is normally laying on the couch chewing on a bone or rolling around on the dog bed/floor. He shows the resident dogs a little more attention with more intense smelling and given the opportunity has tried to dominate them by mounting them. He is easily redirected and happy to walk along side them on leash. He does well on leash everywhere and off leash in the yard. He will follow his people anywhere when he feels like it or barge into the bathroom looking for them if the door isn't closed all the way. Lucky isn't to fond of his crate yet but it's a work in progress. His ideal home is one where his person or people are home more than not and where he is able to lounge the day away without a crate.

Story
Meet Yukon Yukon is the most striking American Bulldog puppy you’ll ever meet. This big-hearted girl was rescued from the Central Valley after being found abandoned in a box with her siblings. At almost 11 weeks old, Yukon weighs around 20 pounds and is expected to grow into a gentle giant of up to 80-120 pounds. With her massive paws, soulful eyes, and playful personality, Yukon is ready to find her forever family. Yukon loves to romp around with her siblings and would thrive as a second dog, but she’s also independent enough to be the center of attention in an active and social home. Like her breed, she’s eager to please and will need a family committed to formal training, regular socialization, and plenty of exercise. A home with a yard and experience with large breeds is ideal for Yukon to truly thrive. The "Big Truck" Litter: What They Need in Their Forever Homes To ensure Yukon, Denali, Tacoma, and Tundra thrive, they need families who understand their unique requirements. Here are their specific needs: Commitment to Training: Enroll in formal training programs to build obedience, manners, and confidence. Dedicate time daily to practice commands and reinforce positive behaviors. Use positive reinforcement techniques as these puppies are eager to please and sensitive to correction. Socialization: Expose them to a variety of environments, people, dogs, and experiences to ensure they become well-rounded adult dogs. Continue structured, supervised playtime with other dogs to reinforce good social behaviors. Gradual, safe exposure to public settings after completing their vaccinations in six weeks. Active Lifestyles: These puppies need daily physical activity such as long walks, play sessions, and interactive games to burn off energy. Provide mental stimulation through puzzle toys, training exercises, or enrichment activities to keep them engaged. A home with a yard is mandatory; they need space to romp and explore without restrictions. Breed-Specific Understanding: Potential adopters must have experience with large, powerful breeds or be willing to learn about their traits. Be aware of their size and strength—these dogs may not always understand their own power, especially during play. Commit to making them breed ambassadors by focusing on good manners and public perception of the breed. Family Environment: These puppies thrive in active households where they are included in daily life. Homes with another dog are preferred, but they can succeed as only dogs if they receive consistent socialization and engagement. Gentle with children but best suited to families with kids over 6 years old who can interact appropriately with large, excitable puppies. Long-Term Commitment: Expect these puppies to reach up to 120 pounds full-grown—be prepared for the food costs, veterinary care, and lifestyle adjustments that come with a giant breed. Dedicate time and patience to help them grow into calm, confident adults. Understand this is a 15-year commitment to a loving, playful, and loyal companion. Health and Grooming: Adopters must commit to regular veterinary care and keeping up with vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and check-ups. Their short coats require minimal grooming, but weekly brushing and nail trims will keep them comfortable and healthy. Monitor their growth carefully—giant breeds need balanced diets to avoid joint and bone issues as they mature. These adorable pups have huge potential and even bigger hearts. Finding the right homes with families who truly understand their needs is essential to their success. If you think you’re ready to take on the challenge and joy of raising one of these amazing puppies, we’d love to hear from you! To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information.
